Question about Fuji FinePix A350 Digital Camera
Well i got a new computer now that is windows vista and my camera box and the installation cd doesnt say that it is compatible. i tried to install it anyways and it wouldnt allow it to. what to i do! how can i make it upload, or is there another installation cd i need to buy? pls someone help! i want to see my pictures!
You don't need any special software.
The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.
Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or, despite what I said first, you can use any photo cataloging program such as Picasa.

SOURCE: Windows Vista?
A far better solution is not to install Fuji's software at all. The A345, like many FinePix cameras does not need anything more to be done to be used with any computer, as it works exactly as USB Hard Drives were set up to plug and play.
Just look for it in the windows explorer as a "New Hard Drive" on the tree.

The A202 is a European model and they do not have updates for Vista that I could find. You can however find the updater program for the FinePix software that includes Vista. http://www.fujifilmusa.com/JSP/fuji/epartners/ServiceSupportSoftwareContent.jsp?dbid=864214&prodcat=644675&sscucatid=664260

Goto any radio shack and get a external memory card reader this will allow you to get your pictures if the camera or cable is defective.

You need FinepixViewer 5,5 for Windows 7.
It can be downloaded here:

I have the same exact problem and I found something on their website (Fuji) that says its a firmware update that is supposed to address "improved handling of playback of images". I am about to download it. The link is right here. It gives specific set of instructions that you will want to follow carefully so as not to damage your camera, as some firmware can. -- here is the site: http://www.fujifilm.com/support/digital_cameras/software/firmware/s/finepix_s2500hd/fupd.html
