Question about Televison & Video

Turns on when it wants to

My t.v. sometimes works (turns on), and sometimes nothing happens when I use the remote or try turning it on from the t.v. I took it in to get repaired and was charged $80.00, worked fine for about 3 months then it started happening again. What's wrong with this set?

As you say some times it is on & some time off. it clearly indicates that your problem is loose contact in tv. it is not a major problem

Try different codes. Sometime this happens with universal remotes. They just don't work all the features.

Remote not working, why

Sometimes they just stop working, idk why, sometimes the battery dies. Try this: lock the doors with the switch in the car - turn the from off to on without starting the car eight times ending in the on position - the locks should unlock then lock themselves - then press unlock on the remote - the lock should unlock - turn the key to off and remove then try the remote again. If nothing happened, replace the battery and try to program again. if that doesn't work, get a new remote.

Power will not stay on

You probably have capacitor CP150 bad on the power/deflection board. The capacitor is a 2200 microfarad at 16 volt cap. This component should be changed by a qualified tech
