My ge energy star front loader wil run most of its full cycle on quick wash, but a few minutes before the end of the cycle, the water will start filling up again while its draining and spining, and even will add minutes to the remaining time. Could the problem be the computer or a broken switch calling for water?

SOURCE: Spin Cycle doesn't work on our GE Energy Star frontloader, please help

You may have to remove the lower panel and clean the drain pump filter. Easy job, once the panel is removed the filter will be right in front. Get a bucket and unscrew the filter cover (3 very small screws at the bottom of the front panel) and you should find a ton of lint and stuff in there. This model has a pressure switch that detects if there is water in the tub. If so it will do this pause and slow spin. Once the pump filter is clean you should be good again. It worked for me.

There is a service manual behind the control panel it will show you how to test the door locks. If might have a bad lock solenoid.

SOURCE: water runs into tub but does not fill?

be sure the drain hose is not lower than the wash tub this will caust the water to run out, 2nd be sure the drain hose is not pushed to far into the house stand pipe and the there is rome for air to go inbetween the drain hose and stand pipe eather of these will cause the machine to siphon mostly on rince cycle or on the 2nd and third loads you do. last your house drain could be starting to back up fill the washer with water and listen to it drain if you hear a gurggling sound in the house pipe you may need a plumber to cleanthis out for you.

Washer doesn't run all the way thru cycles. It's

Machine won't fill with water

Check that the inlet screens on the water supply are not clogged.
Make sure the water is for certain turned on (assuring nothing has changed).

If those are not found to be the problem, then it could be the fill valve(s) or the timer control.

Reply back what you find, and I can help you further.

GE Front Loader will not despense Fabric Softener

We checked the cold water line that goes into the washer, it had some pretty nasty stuff in it, and once we cleaned it out, and soaked it in CLR, it cleared up the line. Once we reattached it and ran a cycle, it went great. I am assuming with the line being clogged it didn't have enough water pressure to flush out the fabric softener.

Won't turn back on and finish cycle

Press "end of cycle" for over 3 seconds, & wait for 2 minutes to open door. You can then re-start the wash. It is possible you cld hv damaged fhe door switch. For front loaders you do not open the door during a wash, never. Less problems.

Ge Adora Front Loader

If you have not already done so, clean the filter behind the panel in the front bottom of the washer. Remove the three philips head screws to get the panel off. Unscrew the plastic filter on the right hand side (use a shallow cake pan to catch any water). Remove the filter and clean out the pens, pencils, change, lint, etc... and put back in. All should work well after this. Thanks, Greg
