Question about RCA TH101 MP3 Player
Well, my mp3 player worked wonderfully for so long. Recently, I've tried to put songs on it, but it won't let me. When I go to open the "music" folder on it, it does one of two things, it either tells me to insert something into the drive (which obviously I have already) or it does open miraculously. If it does open, I cannot delete any of the files or copy new files onto it. When that happens, I always get the same error message. "Cannot (delete/copy to/etc.). Parameter is incorrect." I have no clue what that means. When I turn my mp3 player on, it says there are no files on it, but if I go into the memory space in the menu, it says I have 1.2 out of 1.5 mb filled.
Hi, well these MP3 players can b real finicky. what you could try first is to Uninstall the program & drivers, and then re-insert the MP3 into ANY OTHER USB port but the one it was in.. and when/if it detects it, point it to the driver CD and reload them.. At this point ya may be OK... If NOT, then perhaps ya MP3 player has gone faulty.. they seem to go toes up for no reason? I have seen lots at my shop.. Another thing to try, is a Format of the device... Ya will lose all ya data tho :( not the best option.. but it may be ya only other option, after ya tried all the rest. To do so folllow the instructions in ya manual. Good Luck.

SOURCE: how do i delete songs
My suggestion is switching the file transfer protocol from MTP to MSC by accessing it under the Menu. Once you do this, when the Lyra is plugged into the computer, it will appear as an external hard drive. Format the hard drive and then drag and drop your songs and/or directories of songs onto the Lyra. This is what I do, as I never use Rhapsody, URGE, or even Windows Media Player or MusicMatch to upload songs onto my RD2763. Hope this helps!

SOURCE: deleting music files
you should be able to explore your mp3 player in my computer, and explore each folder but when the windows are open click at the top files, options, view and select show hidden files as the mp3 songs already on the player may be hidden.

FIRST OF ALL CHANGE YOUR FILE ATTIBUTES. IT MIGHT BE READ-ONLY. YOU CAN CHECK THE ATTRIBUTES BY RGHT CLICKING ON A PARTICULAR FILE AND GO TO PROPERTIES. NOW UN-TICK THE READ-ONLY ATTRIBUTES AND CLICK OK.
NOW YOUR PROBLEM MUST SOLVED. IF THE PROBLEM STILL EXIST JUST PUT YOUR MEMORY CARD INTO A CARD READER AND THEN YOU CAN ADD OR DELETE SONGS EASILY.
MOST OF PEOPLE USESIS A CARD READER FOR A SPEEDY FILE TRANSFER BETWEEN YOUR MEMORY CARD AND A LAPTOP.
HOPE THIS SOLUTIONS HELPS U.
