my gateway desktop will not start. I am getting an error message that reads ''0x0000008E(0xC0000005,0x8054BF0F,0xF7AFDE3C,0x00000000).
it is also telling me to check with your hardware vendor for any BIOS updates. Disable BIOS memory options such as caching or shadowing.... My desktop is 7 yrs old.
-   I am having the same problem with a Dell Demension approximately 3 years old. It will start to boot normally and then pops up the 0x0000008e screen. When I try to boot in safe mode the computer displays a screen stating "it is dumping the physical memory" then "physical memory dump complete" "contact administrator etc "
Any suggestions out there...
Thanks in advance for any suggestions

Time for an upgrade my friend. Unfortunately sounds like your bios chip went bad. This happens sometimes and there is nothing you may have done. And unfortunately with a system that old you will be better off upgrading to a new computer.
