-   my name is david and i have the same problem. My model is 417.90812990 kenmore, ive'd been told that it may be the heating element since we used to be able to actually see a light in the back of the tub when it was working. That light is not visible anymore. Any suggestion please let me know at damasevejo@comcast.net-   Guest

WFK 2401 aprox. 8 yrs old. Does not spin or agitate. 1st repair guy looked at the main control board and said $400 to replace it just to see what the true problem was. 2nd repair guy said an outside power spike damaged the main control board but all else looks good so $245 to replace the main control board if we did it ourselves. We waited 2 weeks for the part and now that its installed we are back to square one. The washer appears to go through all it's cycles but where it is supposed to be agitating or spinning it doesn't. Called the second tech back and told him this. He said he didn't believe there was a problem with the motor because he tested that. We told him that we can hear the relays switching but the drum is not turning. Hum.... got any ideas?
