See may be there is problem with the catridge bcoz it is not sensing the ink level it is bettre if you have other catridge first you check wit that or you try to remove the ink and claen the cartridge and refill it again.

Tip: The max point reward for answering a question is 15.
All the ones blinking could be low, you can look at them to see if there's ink, but if you haven't reset the chips on the inks they won't show inks as full, especially if you refill them. When you send a print job the printer window pops up to tell you which ones it thinks are low.

Eight flashes: Waste ink tank almost full
The printer has a built-in waste ink tank for the ink used
during print head cleaning. Eight flashes indicates that the waste ink tank is
nearly full. Press the RESUME/CANCEL button to cancel the
error so you can continue printing. Before the waste ink tank becomes completely
full, contact a Canon service representative.
Canon recommends that you call for service as soon as this
error occurs. Once the waste ink tank becomes completely full, printing will no
longer be possible.
Hello, I found this in a repair manual for the MP830. summery is to press and hold the stop/reset button for 5 or more seconds. I copied the info from the manual too.

The remaining level of the following ink cannot be
An ink tank which has once been empty is
installed. Replace the applicable ink tank with
a new one.
Printing with a once-empty or refilled ink
tank can damage the print head.
If printing is continued without replacing the
refilled ink tank, press the Stop/Reset button
for 5 sec. or longer to record the use of a
refilled ink tank.
After the above operation, the function to
detect the remaining ink amount is disabled.
Does this model have 'chips' on the tanks?
Check for a reset option in the manual or trial and error by switching the machine off then on again whilst holdimg down one or more of the buttons
