This unit has a bad Start/Run Capacitor or a bad Fan Motor! Replace the $10 Cap...An then the $90 fan motor if the Cap dont solve it!

It sounds like the circuit breaker tripped or there is no line voltage to the condensor

Since the late 70's they really dont put fuses in them anymore what brand is the unit outside??

    there actually are fuses???
I take it the circuit breaker isnt tripped
also there may be aliitle red button somewhere near where the 2 copper tubes go in to the unit or around the control panel. So your unit is round right?? There may be no red restet button on some models. Only push it once though its designed to shut it down if the unit is overheating.

its an external reset outside the panels without removing the control panel and a volt meter you cant diagnose much further.

I have an airconditioner a Kelvinator KSR20C Split system

Your condensor fan motor has more than likely gone out. This fan should run at all times when the unit is on. Since the fan isn't working then the motor must have gone out.

I have a Intertherm heat Pump. Everything turns on inside the house. Blows warm air and the outside Fan wont turn on. Both the outside copper pipes are same temp, neither hot nor cold. Don't know the modle...

If the fan outside doesn't work the compresor will overheat and shut off by the thermal protection inside the compressor , to fixed this you have to replace the fan motor and its capacitor.

Airconditioner has weak cooling power.

if all the coils on the out side and inside units are clean and the fan motors are running fine it sounds like it could be low on freon
