Is this a central unit??? is it a split system?(Is their a unit outside(condensor) and a unit inside in the attic, under house, or in a closet??(air handler)

- It sounds like the circuit breaker tripped or there is no line voltage to the condensor

- Since the late 70's they really dont put fuses in them anymore what brand is the unit outside??
Oct 01, 2007
- there actually are fuses??? I take it the circuit breaker isnt tripped also there may be aliitle red button somewhere near where the 2 copper tubes go in to the unit or around the control panel. So your unit is round right?? There may be no red restet button on some models. Only push it once though its designed to shut it down if the unit is overheating.

- Dont forget to rate my solution as solved if i answered your question accurately.....Thanks!!

- its an external reset outside the panels without removing the control panel and a volt meter you cant diagnose much further.

How can you care Hp dv1000 laptop battery to get the maximum life out of it?
It is a question we frequently asked. It's a valid question since laptop batteries are usually expensive to replace.
First of all, how long should your battery last? 2-4 years is generally acceptable depending on how frequently you use and charge the battery. If you travel a lot and use and charge your battery frequently then you might only get a couple of years at the most out of your laptop battery.
The Hp dv1000 laptop battery are usually made with Li-Ion laptop batteries and the very nature of Li-Ion batteries is that they have about 500-600 charges and last at most about 4-5 years (shelf life). They also have a self-discharge rate of about 1% per day so you need to be sure to charge them at least every 6 months.

I have a Friedrich TwinTemp YL24J35C Air Conditioner/Heat Pump and need some replacement "latches" to hold the bottom of the Return air grille in place. My local heating/cooling dealer says they cannot get them. Any ideas? I need them badly. The unit looks horrible without the grille!

Works fine on cool; on heat it puts out hot air for a minute or two and then gets stuck in a defrost(I guess) cycle with a strange noise from the evaporator/fan (inside) unit. It is a Rheem branded product I think the salesman said was made by Goodman when installed about 3-4 years ago.
