Just de-solder the red and black wires and pull out the battery. Put it in a plastic bag to stop it shorting out on anything metal or cover the terminals with tape. The battery must be recycled properly as it contains toxic cadmium. As long as the battery is not leaking then it poses no threat to you. Refitting the new battery is just as simple, re-solder the red wire to the +terminal and black to the -terminal. Be sure to charge the razor as you would a new one i.e. 8 hours. Hope this helps.

I need instructions on how to replace the battery in my 7526 Braun razor I have a new battery ordered for my razor but can't see how to get inside the razor?

Here is a link to a short video on Youtube which demonstrates fairly well the procedure for disassembling a Braun 6520 model:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K7U-A4MC2A8

The procedure outlined in the video will be similar to the one required for disassembling your model 7526 shaver. Here is a link to the user's manual for that model in case you do not have it already:

http://www.service.braun.com/line/SH/S5493/S5493_14_NA.pdf

To view the Youtube video or the Owner's Manual with Operating Instructions just use your mouse to click on the link, which is the underlined and highlighted text just above. This will open a new web browser page automatically for you and allow you to view the information at the website indicated and the contents of the Owner's Manual.

You may need ADOBE READER installed on your computer to read PDF documents.
You can download this free at WWW.ADOBE.COM if necessary.
Click on the DOWNLOAD ADOBE READER button on right side of the ADOBE home page when you get there, then follow the onscreen instructions to install the software on your computer.

Please comment back here to this page if you have any details to add, have any questions, have difficulty accessing the links, or just require further general assistance and I will respond as soon as I see it.

I hope that was helpful to you, good luck and take care.

How do you open the case to replace the batteries? Do the batteries have to be soldered?

On model 5865XL, remove the two screws on the back to remove the back cover. You have to slide up the trimmer to access one of the screws.
The batteries are soldered in. You will find the correct batteries at shaveroutlet.com. See link below. Scroll down the page for helpful installation videos

Opening a remmington ms2 150 or ms2 300 razor to replace the batteries

You will find the correct battery type at shaveroutlet.com. See link below

http://shaveroutlet.com/shaver-replacement-parts/replacement-battery-for-remington-df-ms2-some-braun-p-213.html

To open the shaver you will need to gently pry off the rubberized grip on the front of the shaver. You can then access and remove two screws near the bottom. You will also need to loosen the flat metal clip plate at the top that is under the cutters. Once this is done, you can open the shaver and access the batteries

I need to know how to change the battery. Can you send a manuel.

Printed instructions for battery replacement are not provided by the manufacturer.

You will find batteries for model ES-1000 at shaveroutlet.com. See link below (you will need 2 batteries)

http://shaveroutlet.com/shaver-replacement-parts/replacement-battery-for-remington-df-ms2-some-braun-p-213.html

To open up the shaver, gently pry off the rubberized grip on the front with a small flat screwdriver or similar. This will reveal 2 screws at the bottom. Remove the screws and the flat plate under the cutters that clips on there. You can then gently pry apart the two halves.
You can then access the batteries, remove the old ones and solder the new ones in place

I need a replacement battery for my BRAUN 8585 shaver. When (if) I manage to lacate a battery I will need instructions on how to replace the battery.

You will find compatible battery type at shaveroutlet.com. See link below. Be sure to read the NOTE on the page concerning installation

http://shaveroutlet.com/shaver-replacement-battery-aa-nimh-p-108.html

If you are not able to solder in new batteries, you may want to simply buy the circuit board that includes the batteries. See link below

http://shaveroutlet.com/braun-activator-circuit-board-with-batteries-select-models-p-363.html

To disassemble the shaver, first remove the 'cap' on the bottom that surrounds the hole where the cord plugs in by gently prying it off with the tip of a small flat screwdriver or similar object. Once removed, the side grips simply pull off revealing 4 screws on the back. Remove the 4 screws to remove the back cover and access the insides. Reassemble in reverse order.
