Question about JVC AV-32S575 32" TV

1 Answer

HDMI The HDMI input becomes disabled all by itself. Apparantly there is a sensor that senses that the back has been removed from the set. There is a proceedure to re-enable it but it requires me to remove the back of the tv, connect a jumper, plug in the power, unplug the power then put the back on the set. The HDMI input will now work until it stops working without any warning or tampering with the set. Does any information of this problem? It seems like a bug or maybe the sensor is intermittent.

Prior to disassembly, unplug the power plug from the AC outlet without fail. (Turn the power "off".) Short the SB connector [1] pin and [2] pin of the DIGITAL INPUT MODULE PWB. (At the time of assembling) Before the rear cover is inserted into the cabinet, release the short-circuit between the SB connector [1]pin and [2]pin of the DIGITAL INPUT MODULE PWB. After releasing the short-circuit between the SB connectors, do not turn the power on until the rear cover is inserted into the cabinet. Negligence in carrying out the above steps may cause the inactivation of the TV.

I have been using TV as computer screen but it started saying run auto scan. took it off computer and it still has same message and I can't get remote to work

The input mode of your TV some how changed from your Monitor, (VGA, or HDMI, or PC in) to tuner, and it is trying to stations.
If you have an "INPUT" button on the TV set push it until your monitor comes back. If there is no INPUT or SOURCE button on the TV itself, you need to get a working remote.

Sony Wega KV-30HS420 input problem

Just reset the TV to its factory settings and check. To do this you have to enter its service mode option. How to enter the service mode option is described in one among the posts at the site linked here.
But, before doing this reset, just connect the HDMI cable to the TV, and input an HDMI signal to it. If there is no input signal, the set will display as 'no input'. Check this first. If you wish to get further assistance from me, come over by FiXya comment.

Hdmi shows hd not turned on

Check the input is HD and if using a box unplug for a while and power back---box will reboot etc.

HDMI can be touchy and does not like being disconnected or connected if unit is powered or on.

If the set has a component input for HD try that also instead of the HDMI.

Turns on but blank screen just says no signal. Also blinking red light

If you have an lcd or modern thin screen tv, go into your menu and make sure your input selection is correct. If you're hooking up to a cable network, you will want to select the HDMI input coming from the cable box (HDMI 1, HDMI 2, etc.). This is for the newer cable systems that have the HDMI cable plugged into the tv. If you have the older, bnc connection (round with a wire in it), you will have to select TV or the input.
If all of the input selections are in order, you could have a faulty cable, or a bad cable box. Try to swap the box out with another tv, if available, to verify if the box is, indeed good.
If you have a standard tv, check the cable box on another tv, also, and swap out the cord to check it, also.
Otherwise, if the cable box is good, and the cords are good, you may have a problem with the tv itself, in which case servicing will be required.
Good luck, and hope this helps.

HDMI input on this set looks like a serial port (pin holes and a screw-doen on either side). How can I utilize this with a standard HDMI cable?

The Input is Called DVI. If you are connecting to it with HDMI, you just need a HDMI to DVI adapter. They are sold just about anywhere TV's are sold. Roughly $30.00. Hope this helps.

Goodmans tv GTVL26W8HD no hdmi

Hi n quigley
To answer your question;
At the back of your set and behind the plastic cover are the inputs.
Just below the scart1 and to the left(from the back) there is the HDMI input.
If you`d like the user manual leave your email and i`ll send it to you(too big to be posted here).
Have a nice day

I can't get signal when I hook up my hdmi cable. What am I doning wrong

Are you switching the TV's input to the HDMI socket..? and the output of the device you are trying to connect to the same HDMI socket..? Look in the TV's menu system and cycle through the available inputs with the HDMI cable connected ( some systems will only allow the HDMI socket to become active when something is actually plugged into it). Do this on both devices with the cable connected. Check the cable by plugging it into another, working HDMI link, maybe to a different TV in your house, if it works then it aint the cable..

HDMI Input Failed

I've been seeing alot of this out in the field. The cable is thick and heavy, after awhile the HDMI connectiion inside the set comes apart and breaks from the main board. In my opinion the only difference between Component jacks and HDMI inputs is the thought of reducing the amount of wire mass in the back of the unit. It's more pleasing to the eye. If it's under any kind of warranty, call a servicer. The main PCB will need to be replaced. If it's not under warranty, use component input cables, you'll get the same performance from your set and save a few bucks.
