Question about Nintendo DS Lite Console
My DS Lite seems to operate perfectly fine, until I begin playing a game. If I press the B button a bit too hard, the system shuts off. Sometimes, the system will just shut itself down for no apparent reason. The battery is fully charged, and I've tried this while it's plugged in and it still does it.
That happens when i click my laptop buttons too hard... i think u should try to wet it a bit and dont press TOO hard

i have the exact same problem would be great if anyone had any ideas..
I ended up doing a bit of research on this problem. Though quite rare, it is acknowledged by Nintendo. Basically, on some DS Lite models, repeated used of the B Button causes the circuit board surrounding it to develop small, microscopic cracks, which in turn cause the button to become almost a circuit breaker, killing power to the whole system when pressed too hard. I called Nintendo, and of course, my warranty had expired, so they couldn't do anything for me for free. They said I could send it in for $75 and have it repaired, but I chose to trade it in at a local video game store (they didn't test it thoroughly, so I got full credit for it). Paid a decent bit less for a new one, as opposed to having it repaired.
Exactly the same thing here. DS is long out of warranty though :-(
