I have a brendon bowser with a cat pump and it dont seem to feed from the bowser,but if i run it from hose pipe it fine with loads of pressure ,and if i diconnect the hose and run the pump from the bowser it ok for about 30 secs then the pressure goes,,iv cleaned all the fillters ,just cant get my head round it ,,HELP

Hi Rebecca I am assuming when you say fuel feed hose your talking about a plastic hose on the low pressure side.
"DO NOT" attempt hoses or pipes on high pressure side. This may be fatal if done by an unqualified person. My advise is to take it to either someone qualified to do this repair or to a dealer.
There is a plastic feed hose from tank to filter and from filter to high pressure pump. The retaining clips are the same. Vehicle engine needs to have not been running for at least 4 hours and cold so there is no pressure in system. Remove fuel cap to release tank pressure and refit.
Make sure ignition keys are not in ignition. Plenty of rag needs to be placed at areas where pipes are disconnected. The plastic pipe is then pushed towards its fitting in other words if the pipe is fitted to the filter then you push it towards the filter at the side of the connector there is a black button press this in and then pull away from filter SLOWLY. Place a rag over the pipe as it is removed in case there is a slight spray. Also please wear safety glasses. As I said DO NOT touch any fuel pipes from high pressure pump to injectors. If you are not sure what pipes are high or low pressure do not attempt to repair, take to dealer. On refitting pipe you do not have to push in the button just feel or listen for a click as the clamp locks over the ridge surrounding the mating pipe. Good luck

what size is the line you are using for the gray water. what i mean is if you are trying ti use the same size hose as the original discharge
hose, the pressure to high. the hose original was about 1 inch diameter, the hose use to go up than the hose hook shape goes into the drain pipe thats 2-3 inches diameter for draining the water went into the sewer system, if your trying to use 1-1/2 hose, the diameter not enough air or room for all that water. i dont think the lenth the issue its the diameter and amount of pressure that being forced down small hose or pvc pipe.

Lots of possibilities. Inlet filter might be clogged. I once had a lizard crawl into a water feed line, totally blocked the feed. Check valves might be stuck closed. Discharge hose might be plugged. Pump might be trashed ( if it is a vertical engine it is probably a throw away pump) Nozzle might be plugged.
Disconnect the hose at the discharge and turn on the water supply. It should have a stream of water even without the motor running. That will check the inlet filter, feed pipe and check valves.

make sure the inlet is clean, most of these get the hose hooked up without flushing the hose first and end up with grass,frogs and lizards plugging up the pump inlet.

Sound like it could be some "dirt" in the "air-trap-tube", so the machine dont get the signals that says it's empty. This also can also make problems for filling. This "air-trap" is the plastic tube, mounted upwards on the bellow hose, between drum and pump.

Could also be a pressure switch, or pressure sensor problem, but this is not very common:)

if the machine is running on suction, ie sucking out of a barrel there may be an air leak on the suction hose or pump. it will pull air easier than pulling water .

put the machine under mains water pressure, hose pipe straight from tap to pump.
check all around the pump and inlet pipes for leaks.
if water leaking this needs rectifiying for it to work on suction.
run the pressure washer while on mains pressure with the hose on, does this make a difference?

if not then probably the unloader is stuck in the pump head. remove unloader , clean and replace it
parts breakdowns are available on the internet for your machine.

possibly valves stuck, or the valve springs have broken, seen this quite few times on these machines. if so replace springs .

These sort of machines do not last very long anyway, about 50 hours use if your lucky.

Not sure about this as its got lots of electronic sensors and telling you it could be one or the other and they are not cheap,also its difficult to tell without being hands on so to speak.Basicly the fuel is pumped at pressure into the common rail which feed the injectors,pump is working when you crank engine so thats fine (pressure) now the ECU unit is controling it and when the fuel is injected ,but on older cars its spraying all the time.which i think your is.Now lift bonnet and on the end of the common rail is a round valve with a vacumn pipe on it,make sure this pipe is on and the ends not split and it has a vacumn in it when you crank the engine.Sorry dont do call outs outside alicante zone (spain) If pipes seem ok then its a garage job as it could be a manky wire inside a connection plug corroded .Best of british with it.

Is the presuure switch connected to the pressure pipe.. the small clear pipe that runs along the side of the drum and connectes into the swtich.. if that is okay then switch is faulty.. other problems could be that the pressure pipe is blocked try blowing into the pipe to check...
