My PSP was stolen, how can I track its recent IP address?

I would like to find a way to track the recent use of my PSP online. If there is any way to do this please tell me. I know a friend of mine took it and am hoping to see that he went online at his house, on his wireless router.

Stolen ipod touch

If someone steals your iPod touch, there is no accurate way to track its whereabouts without software. If your phone does not already have one of the specific location-tracking applications available, you will not be able to see its exact location. However, there are other methods that you may be able to use to eventually recover it.

Check Craigslist, other online bulletin boards and eBay regularly for your neighborhood or city as well as surrounding areas. If the person who stole your iPod tries to sell it, perhaps you will recognize a picture or description of it. Online bulletin boards exist for the purpose of locating stolen items. They exist with the hope that consumers will Google the serial number of an item that they're planning to buy, in order to make sure that it is not stolen. Post your device's serial number at Stolen911 and other online resources, and perhaps someone will notify you. Some websites track the location of recent logins. If you have a Gmail or Facebook account that is accessed from your stolen device, the IP address will be logged by the website. These addresses can be linked to general locations and regions, so you can focus your search in that area.

How can i find my stolen PSP

Unfortunately, there is no feature built into the psp to find it if it was stolen. Heck, even expensive items such as iphone and stuff is hard(close to impossible) to track down if stolen. I know the iphone 4 has a feature for you to "track" it if you choose to enable it, but good luck with that. Company really don't care if your stuff gets lost or stolen. They care about their wallet. Save up your money and buy another one.

My laptop was stolen, the police said they can track it if i gave them an IP address, I dont know what the IP address is but I do have the serial number, how can I get the Ip address using the serial...

Stolen laptop can only be recovered if you have MAC address of laptop. IP adress are temporary and can be changed or altered, its not worthy to find IP instead try to get MAC adress.
If you have registerd your laptop with its Manufacturing Site like Lg, DELL etc then you can contact them and probably by providing them serial no. you can get MAC address. Every machine ha different MAC address and I am sure with your serial no. you can get this information from your dealer or manufacturer. GOOD LUCK

Cannot Use Wireless LAN

the problem is common, you need to set up the psp manually and not let it obtain an ip address automatically. the easiest way is to find either your router ip address or your pc's ip address e.g if your routers ip address is 192.168.2.1, then your pc's allocated address will be 192.168.2.2, so set your psp address to 192.168.2.3. you will also need to set the gateway address, this is your routers ip address(the one you type in your browser to get into the routers settings).e.g 192.168.2.1. the DNS setting will be 255.255.255.0, all other address settings required will be the routers ip address eg 192.168.2.1.

I need your help with connecting my psp online

You will first need to find the DNS setting which is probably 255.255.255.0 and IP address of your router, which is probably 192.168.2.1. Check your computers ip addresses which will be the next number up eg 192.168.2.2. You then need to go into the psp manual connection set up and use 192.168.2.5 as the psp ip address to be on the safe side and not duplicate an address. Set the dns primary and secondary server addresses as 255.255.255.0 and set the gateway address as 192.168.2.1( if that is your routers address, as the gateway is your router)
