I had the same problem with the NEXXTECH eithernet adapter. I ended up fixing my original NIC and took out that piece of junk adapter and returned it.

Yep. Looks like this is bad software.

Yeah. I followed the exact steps I was given in the manual. Put the card in, put the cd in, then tell new hardware wizard to search for it on the CD. Didn't work at all. It'd be nice to be able to download the driver....

I was using this card WITHOUT issue under Linux, but then installed Windows XP, and it will not work at all.

I have NexxTech 10/100 FAST ETHERNET NOTEBOOK ADAPTER NCARDBUS. Where I can download driver for this device ? Thanks

http://www.nexxtech.com/nexxtech_usa.html

Go there and click Networking under products. Then click 10/100 Fast Ethernet Notebook Adapter.

Download the user guide (save it to your desktop) which will be a zip/ace file. Extract driver from inside that zip/ace file to your desktop. Then go to add new hardware or access this from going to mycomputer/device manager/'your card'/update driver and upon the installation of the driver select, "Install from location/directory." Select the driver folder, the proper OS, and then the necessary install will occur.

Good afternoon, tell me where you can download the driver for Nexxtech 10/100 Fast Ethernet Notebook Adapter?

Consult the installation manual inside the zip file if 1) You don't know how to install the driver already, 2) my above instruction doesn't make sense to you.

thanks

Card installation

Check for proper fitment and may non plug and play device hence you need to manually add it from control panel using "ADD NEW HARDWARE" by answering questing coolly. If Win Vista it is not supporting 10 mpbs of any model.

Cannot find the drivers hence it will not let me load the drivers

Hello gastong,

Here is a link that will take you to all the available drivers nexxtech have. You should be able to find the drive under nexxtech as the brand and gaming devices as the category. Once you have the brand and category selected, there will be another drop down menu availabe. So all you have to do now is to locate the model number of your network card.

Network

It depends on your equipment. If they have network built in, need a couple of cables and a router. If not could install wired or wireless and use a wired or wireless router.

Device won't start Code 10

Try starting in Safe mode (press F8) before the WinXP start screen appears, then uninstall the device. Also you can check "Show Hidden Devices" in device manager.

Also try a different slot if there is one available.

Code 10 means there isn't any resources or address left for your card.

Also make sure your BIOS is set for automatic plug and play mode in case the setting was reset somehow.

Connectivity

ok, clicking repair is a stupid setting that windows puts in as when you click it it immediately returnsyour pc's ip address to a windows default ip address which you router cannot read and therefore disconnects you. Go to your network adapter properties, right click on task bar icon on go to network connections and right click>properties TCP/IP line and click properties again then select if not already 'obtain ip address automatically', then ok it and close windows. If you are connecting through a router you need to get into the set up menu of ypur router by typing the router ip adress in your web browser(refer to manual for the address)and look for the conections menu and ensure your password and username is correct and make sure DHCP is enabled so as to give your pc an automatic ip address
