I had a similar problem with a portable XM radio. The antenna, connection and cableall looked fine, however, the centre conductor of the antenna lead was damaged where the lead went through the door jamb. Look for any type of crimp in the antenna cable and if so, either get someone to repair the lead, or get a replacement antenna.

Xm check atenna connection

If you are getting the same "check antenna" message with two different antennas, it is likely that the tuner itself is the problem. You can get just the mini tuner here:

http://www.tss-radio.com/products/xm-mini-tuner-replacement-home-dock

As far as the two plug connection, there are adapters available. Its likely a dual fakra connection, though I don't know for sure. At any rate, this is one adapter available. (I would call to confirm)

Cant get xm weather on garmin 740s

To receive XM weather or audio, the GPSMAP 740s requires a GXM 40 Smart Antenna with XM subscription.

The GXM 40 Smart Antenna (010-00730-00) is used to receive weather and audio service from XM satellite radio. For details on XM services please visit our XM webpage.

Once a GXM 40 Smart Antenna has been connected to the GPSMAP 640, the device can display the subscription information for the antenna.

From the Home Page in Boating mode:

  1. Select Configure
  2. Select System
  3. Select System Information
  4. Choose Weather Subscription

From the Home Page in Driving mode:

  1. Select Tools
  2. Select XM Services
  3. Select XM Radio
  4. Set the channel selector to channel 0
  5. Select Radio ID

The subscription information will now be displayed on the screen.

I have a XM Model 136-4335. I need an operators manual. I need to program preset stations and don't know how. Thanks, Mike

The XM model number provided is branded DELPHI but is actually made by AUDIOVOX... a manufacturer that is commonly rebranded XM, TERK, RCA, etc. So the Audiovox manual is what you need. Now since Audiovox usually doesnt support directly its hard to get manual from them directly. The link to your manual (the third down on this page and the picture looks a bit diffferent but is the silver receiver not black box ones) Good luck

My sirius portable radio keeps displaying "no antenna detected" but it's plugged in.

Several possiblities: one: antenna really is bad - borrow a friends Sirius or XM antenna and plug it into the base and see if the message goes away -if it does, replace antenna; if not, then your 'dock' or base could be bad - try removing and reinstalling the radio or try another base. If another base and antenna don't solve it, then the radio is shot and it's time for a new one. Customer service will ususally give you a great deal on a new XM radio IF you agree to keep it for 1 year. Let me know how it goes.

Just moved and can not get an xm signal

If you have the home system, you want your antenna in a south-facing window. There are helpful hints on setting-up your antenna on XM411.com - give it a try.

Delphi SKYFi3 XM Radio Repeater

You begin by setting up your existing (((XM))) antenna the one that came in your home kit (not included in repeater package) in a location that gets good reception of the (((XM))) signal. This may be outside, or on a south facing window sill. This antenna gets plugged into the rear of the Delphi (((XM))) Radio Signal Repeater Transmitter. A power jack is right next to the antenna connection, and should be plugged in and to the wall with the included power supply. There is also a "PWR OUT" selector switch on the rear of the unit which allows you to control the strength of the signal transmitted from the unit.

Once the power and antenna are attached, both blue indicator lights will light up on the face of the unit. The blue antenna indicator will light up only to signify that the antenna is attached correctly. It does not let you know whether your antenna is in a location receiving a good (((XM))) signal or not. You will have to look at the signal strength indicator on your (((XM))) radio receiver do determine best location for the (((XM))) antenna.

Once you have this setup, place the Repeater Antenna close to your existing (((XM))) Radio and plug it into your antenna jack on the (((XM))) radio cradle. This connector is identical to your (((XM))) Home Antenna provided with all Boom boxes and (((XM))) home receivers and kits so compatibility is guaranteed. The Repeater Receiver Antenna does not require any separate power connections. Hope this helps!

Xm radio

Try with a different XM Antenna from a friend or shop if possible to verify whether it's the antenna or the unit itself.
Visually inspect antenna cable and connection at the antenna and the unit and make sure the antenna cable hasn't been damaged.
I would do this before considering other options
Good Luck!

No Signal on my XM Radio

Lately I have been loosing the signal constantly in the house. I've tried different stations to see if it would be any better and it's not. I called xm and they refreshed my signal but it didn't do ant good. It's really annoying to constantly have the signal fade. Everything is hooked up right. This is been going on for about 5 months and my neighbors complain about the same thing.
