Deleting info on an email

I have not been able to find out how to delete addresses and other information within the email before I send/forward it to someone else. I used to do it on my computer at work, but this one at home won't let me do it the same way. At work I would click on forward. Then I would highlight the info I wanted to delete and press the delete button. I can't do that here. I have gone into just about everything I can and even right clicked on buttons, but I can't find a solution. Please help.

    I forgot to add that when I click to forward a message, the computer puts it in the form of an attachment. This prevents me from being able to edit or clean it up. Please help.

Perhaps its the type of client you are Most use Outlook Express....there are alot of security in place at work as aopposed to your amchine at home. I note from your enquiries you use INTERMEDIA Better Business Mail. Well thats what the info email you have above. Outlook Exprss will allow you to do what you want in one big sweep?

  1. Open Gmail and click the gear icon.
  2. Select Settings.
  3. Select the "Forwarding and POP/IMAP" tab.

How do I change my email address ?


1 -Simply set up a new email address on gmail or any other provider.
2 - In Outlook, log onto your old email address.
3 - Create a message rule to forward all messages received in your old email address Inbox to your new email address. To do this go to the Message heading and select "Create Rule From Message".
4 - Remember to inform everybody that your email address has changed. The easiest way to do this is to have an auto-reply from your old email address that informs message senders of the details of your new email address.
5 - If you think some people may send emails to your old email address in the distant future, you may want to log into your old email from time to time to ensure that it is not deleted due to inactivity.
6 - You can also post your new details on Facebook or any other social media platforms if you wish.

You can import all the contacts from the various accounts into the one you choose to save. (See here.) Then you'll have all your contacts in one place. Then send an email to all the contacts from the various accounts, telling them your master email address. Don't close the old accounts immediately, but set them up to forward incoming emails to your new account for a month or so until everyone gets the new address and is up to speed. You might get some stragglers that weren't on your contact list but you wish to remain in contact with. You can also forward any emails or files you wish to preserve from the old accounts to the master account. Then delete them from the old account. Clean up the old accounts by deleting unwanted emails and files, en masse if neccessary. (Learn how to select and delete multiple emails at once using the shift and ctrl keys if you don't already know how to do so.)
Finally, when you're sure you no longer need the old email accounts, simply close the account as described in this article. and refer also to this article. As long as you maintain the master account, you'll still have access to email, but once you close an account, it can no longer forward email to you. It is permanently closed. So take it gradually if you're uncertain, just to be cautious.

2. Click on MAIL button on the left hand side of the Yahoo screen. Then clickon the INBOX on the left hand side above all those folders. 3. CHECK YAHOO EMAIL:
Click "check mail" in the far left corner. You do not have to usethis feature, it is optional. Most Yahoo email appears in bold type when itfirst arrives and is unread. 4. READING ORPRINTING EMAIL:
Click on the subject to read the message. Double-click to open the yahoo emailmessage to another tab. You also need to perform this function to print thebody of a yahoo email. Press the printer icon on top of your screen or insideyahoo. 5. REPLYING TO EMAILS:
If you would like to reply when you are finished reading the message, click the"reply" box on the top (or bottom) of the email and type yourmessage. It will appear above the message that was sent to you. 6. MANAGING EMAIL:
If you are finished with the email message displayed on your screen and do notwant to save it, click on the delete button while that message is highlighted(this happened when you clicked on it). (Either on the message or on yourkeyboard - they both will do the same thing). 7. DELETING EMAIL:
When you click on an email, press delete on your keyboard or check the box nextto the email you wish to delete. Deleted emails then go to the trash. 8. EMPTY TRASH:
To empty the trash, click the empty trash option to the right of your Yahooscreen. Then you can be sure the message will not be retrieved. Emptying trashis the only way to eliminate the email entirely from the system. 9 SENDING A BRAND NEW EMAIL:
Click on the compose or new button in the left hand corner. Type therecipient's email address in the to field.

If you have stored any email addresses, they appear upon entry of therecipient's name or email address. Entering a subject is optional and it is nota requirement to use this feature. 10. SENT MAIL:
Email you send will then reside in the "sent mail" folder. Click thisfolder on the left side of the page to check for sent messages if needed.Delete messages in sent mail by checking the box in the delete column and thenclicking delete at the top or bottom of your screen. 11. EMAIL ADDRESS BOOK:
To add a yahoo email contact (address), click contacts, add contact inupper-left-hand corner. Type the first name and then skip down to the emailaddress. Add as much information as you would like into this screen. Save ifyou are finished or click save and add another address if you would like tocontinue adding to your address book. 12. TO FORWARD AN EMAIL:
Click the desired email. It will be highlighted (usually in blue) and clickforward on the top of your yahoo email screen. Type the recipient's address,click send. You can also type a short message before the email forward.

TIP: You could also type in SEVERAL email addresses to forward, just separatethem with a comma. 13. SPAM:
If you receive unwanted email, check the box to the right and click spam buttonon the top. This will tell Yahoo to send it to your bulk mail folder. Checkyour bulk mail folder periodically for emails you may want to save. 14. EMAIL ORGANIZATION:
Create a folder to store emails you want to save. (Optional) Click"Add" on the left beneath the folders section. Name the folder.Repeat the process for each file folder. You can add or delete to your emailfolders at any time. 15. SENDING ATTACHMENTS ANDPICTURES VIA EMAIL:
Locate the file in your computer(usually in My Pictures or My Documents folder) and click attach on the top.Attachment can be limited by the recipient's email provider. Considersending 2 or 3 emails if you have multiple photos or documents.

My e-mails are not forwarded properly. how can we fix it?


Sometime it depend on what kind of account are using? For Exchange accounts sometimes it may just be that, sometimes it may just be that the status had no change to upload the changes to the server.Open up your forwarded email.Find the button that says "Forward" and click on it. You can easily tell how many times it's been forwarded by the number of Fwd's in the subject line.
Scroll down the list of email headers to get to the content of the email.Edit the email to remove any forwarded email addresses and unnecessary text from the message
After reading it, decide if it's worth passing on.
If the email is worth passing on, or even if it isn't and you just can't help yourself, hit the Forward button on your email program.
Insert your email address in the To: field. "make sure you read correctly, your own email address."
Insert anyone else you want to send the email to in the Cc:, Bcc: highlight the field and delete headers.Press Ctrl+A to select all "highlight all"
With your mouse pointer. And press delete from the keyboard

Type any message you want to add to the email to send.
Click(press) send.

OFTEN WISH TO DELETE INFO HEADERS ON RECEIVED EMAIL BEFORE SENDING IT ON TO OTHERS. TRIED TOOLBAR TABS, ETC. BUT AS PC AMATEUR, DON'T KNOW HOW TO ACCOMPLISH IT.


If I understand your question, you just want to remove the header of an email, such as the From/To/Subject information before forwarding it to something else. If that is correct, then it is as simple as clicking the Forward button, then you can delete any text that is in that email, including the headers.

I want to access my work outlook express email at home


It depends on what your company has set up. Some companies have what's called 'Outlook Web Access'. You go to a site and login, and can do all of your email right there. You don't use outlook itself, but a browser version. So, ask if you have this set up, and if so get the URL info and start working from home! if you can access your work email within outlook, the answer is no. A very easy way to have all your messages forwarded to your home outlook is to create a rule from your work computer. Do this: (may vary somewhat depending on the OS you are using) in outlook go to tools/ rules/ create new rule and create a rule so all mail in your inbox or specific senders is forwarded to your home address.
Such as all mail addressed to (your work email address) forward to (your home email address) You can always delete the rule later.

Delete unwanted items


if the unwanted addresses are in the <to:,cc:,bc:> lines of the email you want to forward, hi-lite the address and hit delete. If you want to add addresses, just type them in and type a comma between each one. Once you have the email the way you want it hit forward (not send).
