Harmony Profile washer

Spin cycle sounds like a jet engine. It sounds like there may be something underneath the center plate. Is this plate removable. It seems to be working fine, but the center plate is not rotation. I have removed the plastic cap which exposeed a bolt, but cannot remove the center plate. Any ideas? Thank you

Hi: If you can put the machine to it side down and remove the motor rotor assembly with a 15/16" socket and pull gently to put appart the rotor and with a 5/16" socket remove the clutch assembly you can see if the center gear is broken. Let me know

SOUNDS LIKE JET PLANE WHEN IT GETS BY RINSE AN SPIN TIME

I assume you mean it sounds like a jet plane when it spins, if so, I suspect a bad tub bearing. Depending on age of the machine, probably too expensive to repair.

The spin cycle on my GE Profile Harmony washer has gone violent, what can cause this?

probably unbalance load inside, try to stop, move what's inside and restart, or maybe there is not enough inside and cannot balance ( one heavy item, add some item so it can balance them when spinning )

Cleans good but when it spins it sounds like q jet taking off?

May have a piece of cloth, plastic etc that may be stuck on something between the belt and the drive system, have a look underneath/back to see if anything is there.

you have described the noise from a front load washer in the spin cycle to a "T", it definately does sound like a jet engine. if it ain't broke...don't fix it!!

Fisher and Paykel GW708F Screaming like a jet engine on spin!

Hi there

Yea if the machine sounds like a train going through the middle of your house when its on spin it will most definately by your seals and bearings, an easy way to check is lean the machine back onto something and look underneath if the main seal is leaking and the bearings are run there will be rusty looking residue on the motor rotor(the round thing in the middle of the drum), seals and bearings are fairly expensive to replace About $350NZD if no shaft is needed and up to $500NZD if a replacement shaft is needed.

I hope this helps you out.
