My Portable DVD player wont read any of my DVDs and the disc itself doesn't spin. Any clue on what had caused it?also, any urgent solution on this?

Hello there,

The lens could hardly read the disc because it might be dirty. Try to manually clean the lens by getting a swab or a qtip, damp it to an alcohol and gently wipe the disc surface in a circular manner. Let it dry and then start playing those dics again. If this does not solve the problem, then the disc motor might have gone bad. If this is still less than a year old, then you can avail the warranty and have it repaired for free. Just take it to an authorized service center.

I have three blue- ray disc which will not play. Have return these disc several times to merchant for exchnage with no success.

Your firmware seems to be an older version. Since the discs that you are nameing are asking for Blu-Ray 1.2 support.
Samsung has provided updated firmware to support these discs. Follow the instructions on the link.

Stopped playing cd`s

Lots of options- listen to it- see if the disc is being spun. If so, either the laser died, the lens is dirty (not too likely if suddenly happened) or some bump or kick has shot the allignment. most of these are a biggish prob, except if you are a handy person, you could get inside and clean the dust off the laser lens with a cotton bud. The hard part is cleaning the mirror and the back side of the lens! BE CAREFUL not to mix up the allignment- this is a very critical mechanism of the player!
