Hi there,

Kenwood receivers are usually tuned for their intended destination country, hence the frequency "stepping" of the tuners may differ between countries.

Was this receiver originally intended for your country's frequency? If yes, then contact Kenwood customer service for further advice.

If not, contact your local Kenwood service agent and ask whether the frequency stepping can be reprogrammed.

How do i program the radio

Click below for the manual.

1 Select the radio band and tune in a desired radio

station you wish to store in the preset memory.

2 Press (PRESET).

The Preset screen is displayed.

3 Rotate the Double Action encoder to select the

preset number.

4 Press and hold /ENTER for at least 2 seconds.

The selected station is stored.

The display shows the band, preset number and station

frequency memorized.

A total of 18 stations can be stored in the preset memory (6 stations

for each band; FM1, FM2 and AM).

If you store a station in a preset memory which already has a station,

the current station will be cleared and replaced with the new station.

Press in the outer ring and rotate the Double Action encoder to the

left or right on the Preset screen, you can switch the Preset screen of

another band.

FM-1 FM-2 AM FM-1
You can also change the desired radio band by pressing BAND.

Hope this helps.

I bougth the device from the Us and use it in Europe, due to the fact that the fm are broadcasting 0.2 mhz frequency difference in the States and 0.05 difference here in Europe I cannot receive all the...

No, the frequency step is a hardware characteristic, it can't be modified. But you should receive all radio channels anyway, by law they are 0.3MHz apart. Do another full automatic search, if a channel is between one of those steps the Automatic Frequency Control (which every FM radio has since the 80's) will adjust it for you.

Cannot tune to local stations

- The 0.2MHz odd steps are standard for US radios. Try resetting the radio (recessed button under the front panel) If this a US radio then this may not help. If you have lost the manual then go here:- Come back and say if this helped or not, I could dig a bit deeper.. -

Sony CDX-SW200 AM/FM/CD unit

I'm not completely certain about yours, but on most Sony decks you can get to a manual tuning mode by pressing and holding the seek buttons. In other words, if you press and release the tuning button, it will automatically jump to the next channel. If you press and hold the button for a second, it should beep and possibly start flashing an "M" on the screen. After that, it should stop scanning when you release the button, without jumping to the next station.
