Question about Canon PowerShot A520 Digital Camera
Hi there. I am using my Canon Powershot A520 camera for a long time (about 2 years) enjoying every single picture I shot, however a few weeks ago I noticed a little problem and want to ask is there anything I can do to fix it. On the display I see a very thin vertical line in the right part of the screen from the top to the bottom. It also apear on the pictures in the different modes. First I started looking at the objective for any scratches that may cause this. I cant find any of those. Anyway I cleared it up carefully. The line stays on the exact place and even taking a vertical pictures makes it stay on the same place. Any ideas are higly appreciated and thanx in advance. Best regards, Mike
This appears to be a failing component possibly the CCD. It may be possible to replace the camera if this is the case An offer to repair however will be almost the price of buying the next camera. Contact the Canon support website.
