Create a hidden calculated field to extract the month from the date and use that for sorting and/or grouping. You should be able to group on the month as well, if that is the primary purpose. Thanks for rating FixYa!

you can add page #'s in reports, insert, page #
you can't add auto #'s in the table without just adding the # in one field for each one
Access is a database program, the report option is where the page or file # is entered

You'll have to use a separate Group By query to get the summed data you are looking for, you cannot pull it off the report.

Here is the step by step procedure to set date and time of your Garmin GPS 38......
It will definitely work......

Set Local Date and Time


1) Verify the date and local time (this should be
the date and time according to the local date and
time of country/area you are in). Because the
time shows is Universal Time (UTC), you will
need to enter a time offset to display the correct
local time for your area.

2) Move the field highlight to the OFFSET field
and press Enter

3) With the arrows (←→), go to the figure which
represents the hours then with the up & down
arrows (↑↓), select the time offset for your
longitude and press .

4) Move the field highlight to the HOURS field
and change to 24 if that is not already the case.

This will definitely work......

Creating Running Sum with Grouping Query


Looks like your GROUP BY subclause says to group by Force_no but also the yyyy and m datepart values for Subs_Dt as separate items. [Also since you are returning "Force_no AS FN", you need to refer to it as 'FN' and not 'Force_no' in the other subclauses of the statement. Same is true for your partial-date references as well in the SELECT subclause] So the query will return the grouping not by Force_no (should be FN) and some partial date but instead by Force_no (shoukd be FN), the year, and then the month.

The fix would be to group by a concatenation of the year and month and to change the references to the fields to be what you renamed them as in your SELECT subclause using "...AS...", for example:

SELECT GIS_Subs.Force_No AS FN, DatePart("yyyy",GIS_Subs!Subs_Dt) AS AYear, DatePart("m",GIS_Subs!Subs_Dt) AS AMonth, DSum("Subs_Amt","GIS_Subs","DatePart('m', [Subs_Dt])<=" & [AMonth] & " And DatePart('yyyy', [Subs_Dt])<=" & [AYear] & "") AS RunTot
FROM GIS_Subs
GROUP BY FN, AYear & "-" & AMonth
ORDER BY AYear, AMonth;

So now you have only 2 GROUP BY parameters instead of three and the grouped results won't be done by FN, then year, then month, but by FN and year-month. [As for the "-" in GROUP BY subclause, you can use any character you want as the separator; I just picked "-" since it is so typical.]

The DSum function in the SELECT subclause may also need some rework; also, possibly you will need to return [Subs_Dt] in the clause as well so DSum() has it to work with. Also check to be sure that reference to [Subs_Dt] is being recognized OK without using the "table!field" form of reference. I dunno if you need it given I don't know your whole table-field definition and so can't say if there would be a naming conflict someplace.

If you are still having trouble, try starting over and building this query piece by piece, one field, one condition, one subclause, at a time until you get to where it breaks for you. That'll be the "threshold of failure" you are looking for that should point you further in the right direction.

Your date form is what it wrong. In order to use dates in Access with a BETWEEN function clause the values have to specifically be dates.

You can create dates in literal strings using the # sign to bound them, as in:

Select DISTINCT [ActivityDate] between #1/1/08# and #12/31/08#

#....# tells Access to treat this literal string as a date.

If you are using non-literal values, such as a parameter handed into the query, which would then be a variable, you can't use #some_variable# to cause Access to view it as a Date since #...# is for literal values only. To convert (also called "casting" a variable), use the CDate function. CDate likes to know what format to expect the string to come in though so it helps to pass that along, as in:

Select DISTINCT [ActivityDate] between CDate(begin_dt_string) and CDate(end_dt_string)

Remember the date string you pass into CDate has to be readable as a date by CDate. So make sure you pass in something that it can handle (use the IsDate() function to check to be sure so you can avoid a runtime datatype casting error). If your locale is US, then passing in x/y/z it will take for MM/DD/YYYY. If Europe, it will take it as DD/MM/YYYY. So keep that in mind.

To convert out of a date, use the FORMAT() function. That is how you get a date data type value to become a string value.

Prepare table having coloumns Client, Premium Amount , Month.

 

Now take Pivot table of the above table. Take Field 'Month' in Page field and Client in 'Row' field and sum of amount in 'Data field'.

 

If you refresh the data and select the required month you will get the desired information.
