I have a brand new moen muirfield high arc faucet with low pressure at spout but good pressure at side spray what can i do to get better pressure at spout

clevine336-

The design of a hand sprayer is meant to provide a higher pressure spray (the smaller outlet size means greater velocity in the water coming out of the sprayer head). That said, there could be something constricting the water flow in your faucet. If you unscrew the aerator on the end of the faucet do you get better pressure? Is the screen in the aerator clogged with sediment or mineral deposits? If this is the case you may have water requiring periodic cleaning of the aerator.

Hope this helps.

Kohler Fairfax kitchen faucet has low flow pressure. Any suggestions? It's the faucet, not the water getting to the faucet that has the low pressure.

First thing to check is if it has a strainer on the spout that has debris. The second thing is if you have a sprayer attachment the diverter valve is a chronic problem with kitchen faucets.

Low water pressure in my grohe bridgeford kitchen faucet what could be the problem

Hi,
The first thing to check is the areator at the end of the spout...
They often plug with dirt and drop the water pressure...
Take that off and check out the water with it off...
Then if it is still low then it is dirt trapped internally in the faucet...

The water pressure pushes the faucet spout out of the faucet assembly. I tried to screw it back in without success.

If you are talking about a kitchen faucet. I would guess that you either have WAY too much water pressure or you are missing the little c-ring clip on your spout. Most are round plastic ring with split on one side. Some are metal. They usualy fit in one of the slots on the end of your spout. Hope this helps.

I have a pfister 536-e series Pfister/catalina colletion kitchen faucet. Low water pressure from both the hot and cold water. How do I fix the water pressure? Water pressure in the rest of the house is...

First unscrew areator from faucet spout, you might need pliers for this. Make sure the areator is clean, sometimes sedement from water lines can slow water down.

Water pressure became slow after less than 6 months of a new Moen Kitchen. Faucet some calcium build. Pressure is the same with both hot and cold running. Makes me think it is the faucet.

It is probably a clogged airator. If the faucet is the type where the spout is attatched to a hose there may be a screen where the hose attaches to the spout. with the spout off check the flow through the hose. If the flow at the hose is good then the problem is in the spout. Most of the time it is in the spout. you can replace just the spout if you cannot find a screen or airator to clean.

Loss of pressure in kitchen faucet - Price Pfister

Your problem is a simple one.

  1. Turn off water to faucet.
  2. Place a towel(s) in the base of the sink(s) to prevent any parts from going down drain.
  3. Remove the handle to the faucet. (single handle only)
  4. If not a single handle then remove spout from faucet.
  5. If a single handle remove cap carefully and any loose parts.
  6. Gently turn spout side to side while lifting to remove.
  7. You will see a hole with a very small valve where the water comes out to the spout on the base of the faucet.

  1. Remove this valve (which is a backflow preventer) and replace.
  2. Reassemble and test.
Problem solved.
