Obviously a hardware issue, go to a service center.

My computer keeps flashing the blue lights on and off, screen blank, not coming on tried to take battery off hold down start button connect to ac nothing happens same problem

Sounds like video card or video cable is faulty or loose. Is screen always blank no matter what you try? Were you getting intermittent screen flickering. There is a ribbon cable that runs from base to lid that sometimes get worn or loose from constant open/close of the lid. Try cranking lid to different positions while trying to boot up. You maybe able to find a video card under one of the covers on bottom. push card all the way inward to make sure it is seated correctly.

Loose Monitor on a HP Pavilion ZV6233nr Laptop

It seems that some screw that was loose is now totally out of socket. The latch assembly might be disbalanced due to that. To me it doesn't seem to be a broken latch.

My dell laptop lcd splashes the OS and then goes dark. It works fine with an external monitor. I have a feeling that there is a loose connection since the top is almost falling off

Think you have answered your own problem here. If the external screen is ok, then the fault lies with the laptop screen.
1.) Remove keyboard top cover (download a "how to" guide if not familar with doing this)
2.) Remove screen bezel
3.) Check the inverter connections (inverter looks like a thin tube)
4.) Check cabling from motherboard to monitor /inverter for signs of fraying, tears, bare wires
5.) Check connections of the cable for damage.
If the above are ok, then you may have a damaged inverter. In any event, i'd look to repairing the damage to the loose lid, as its putting a strain on the wiring

Screen falls back

Loose hinges or bad hinges. You can pop off the hinge cover (above the keyboard) and 'try' to tighten the hinges, but if that doesn't work, it's failing hinges and the only fix is to get them replaced mate.
Hope this hellps, be sure to rate!! :)

Monitor lid will not stay in position.

On most models the hinges are a pressed in, pressure brake type hinges, and when the hinge start getting worn to the point of not holding the screen, then they can only be replaced in order to fix it. You can sometimes get away with replacing just one. On some models there are screws on the hinges that come loose that can cause this. The screws aren't for adjusting, they are basically just set screws. You won't know which is the problem until you take the covers off. Most likely you're going to have to replace the hinges. Try Ebay for the replacements.

Lid/Top Loose

I have a Tecra M2 S630 and was able to fix my left hinge by removing it and drilling out the rivet and replacing it with a 6-32x1/4 inch machine screw and a nut. Total cost was $4 for a package of nuts and screws from Radio Shack.

Screen light go off but image still on.

You will probably need to remove the bezel and key board to see or get at the nuts on the back of the screws. When you get this far you should be able to see the problem with the wires or backlight. Probably where they flex when you open / close the lid. Undertake any of this at your own risk. Do not force anything. Stop and look for "hidden" screws. A new standard fan would be your best allover option.
