If i power the laptop the screen will not boot

I am not 100% if this will work ,but turn it off and tap the F8 key till the screen comes up ,should give you a list of things to try, As soon as you turn comp off and turn it back on have your finger tapping that button . you may of burned your hard drive up to . if it was freezing up a lot and sending messages or errors it's most likely fried ,you can call around to computer stores and find one reasonable like we did , they may just erase hard drive and put on a new windows for 30.00 - 100.00 .good luck I hope you figure it out . I am like a junkie without my lap top or my car
