Karcher 2400: Won't stop spraying.

I have a gas 2400, Everything works fine except the trigger don't work. I have high pressure but no way of turning off or stopping it from spraying. I thought the problem was in the wand, so I took it apart and in the brass elbow fiiting where the trigger is atached I found a like stainless steel pin, it was a little rusty so cleaned it up oil and put back together: samething, there is not much in there, just that pin, looks like an O ring deep inside and a white plastic washer. I am I looking in the wrong area? What could be the problem.

Dear sdadean,
I am assuming that when you said "wand" you mean the "gun". Myself I rarely service guns. But there are types that are serviceable and others that are not. If the brass elbow had 2 stainless steel pins....then this is a gun that you must replace with a new one. And putting oil, is the worst enemy....because oil damages O rings. Now the high pressure hose is fitted inside the brass part by being sealed by a black O ring and a white backing flat O ring. I do not know if these that you saw. Now if the brass has only one pin coming out from the back, this type of gun can be serviceable. Look at the brass at the place where the lance is attached. If you see a hexagon hole, this is a plug that can be unscrewed with an allen key. Behind the plug there is a ceramic seating. Then you find the valve and a spring. If the steel valve and the ceramic seating are damaged, the whole gun must be replaced.
To tell you the truth I usually change the gun and fit a new one, when the machine keeps on going because the gun does not close. I find it the best and the most safe way of solving the problem.
Regards,
Fulltech.

My Karcher k4 pressure washer only works if I turn it on while pressing the trigger on the gun?

This is normal. The high-pressure car washer has certain dangers. If the water column of his spray gun is aimed at people, it will stab people. If the switch is turned on and spray water, then the pressure of the spray gun head will be sprayed around, which will accidentally hurt people. people, so it's designed this way.

Vacuum lock when releasing trigger. water will

It sounds like the valve in your trigger gun is sticking. Depending
on the model it can be rebuilt or repaired

Karcher k2.40r pulsates

It sems you have a blockage in the tip. If you get a grain of sand in the nozzle it will act like this. Get a piece of fine wire and poke down the nozzle to free it up.

No pressure / Karcher G 2400 HH

Hi ruthkapres:
Here is a diagram. The unloader/spill valve is #12 on page D2 or F2 depending on your model. You must pull it out, inspect the o-rings for dents or tears and make sure the valve is lubricated with a good water proof lubricant.

Karcher K 3.68 M operation

These units have pressure valves that automatically turn off the pump once the pressure is high enough. The pressure switches do fail and sometimes stick and act as you've described.

the problem may be the oil. if the oil is fine then try crimping your hose to let less water pressure through. if that still does not work lowes or home depot will fix the problem cheap. thank you for using fixya
