SOURCE: Constant clicking from flasher unit

The flasher unit has gone bad and needs to be changed. The flasher module is a part of the hazard module also. The clicking is the unit is still working but there is not enough voltage to activate the lights to flash. It's common on the Malibu's and other GM product cars similar to the Malibu like Grand Am's Ect. I believe Auto Zone has the replacement part for you car and is more reasonable in price then the dealer and the y also have the step by step instructions to replace the flasher module. Good luck and keep me posted, be glad to help.

SOURCE: Flasher clicks when turn signal and flashers are off

The E flasher switch is probably bad, there was recall on alot of these if is not 10 years old or has less than 150,000 miles on the car. If you fit this take it to a dealer and ask, that won't cost nothing

SOURCE: Hi I have a problem

You'll need to replace the turn signal multi-function switch. It is grounding the white feed wire from the flasher when it is not supposed to. This is a really common problem with these. I have heard of people cleaning the switches with electrical cleaner and having that work as well.

How can we disconnect hazard flasher wire from the switch?

Usually disconnecting this would cause you to have no turn signal. Year make and model helps.

Clicking sound in dash 2010 Lincoln navigater

any lights blinking ? could be emergency flasher or turn signal flasher is it faster than the normal turn signal? if so you may have a signal light out. is it a constant even frequency or a random click? If random id guess a wire is loose. Or a vacuum-powered device in the air handling unit that is out of sorts.

My 2002 Chevy silverado blinker sound won't turn off

The flasher relay is probably defective. You need to replace the flasher unit. If that doesn't cure it, you have a wiring problem where the relay is getting a constant signal from the turn signal switch.
First try to unplug the flasher (it would be under the dash-follow the clicking sound) and plug it back in. If no help, replace the flasher.

2000 oldsmobile alero, i replaced the hazard flasher and it continues to constantly tick

If replacing the flasher did not take care of the clicking noise then you have to replace the turn signal switch. It is called the multifunction switch now. This will take care of your clicking noise that it makes like your turn signal is still on but it is not.Hope this helps.Good luck.

At times there is a constant clicking, it

The hazard switch which is just above the radio controls the turn signals and flashers is a very common issue. This is only available from the dealer. Most often this cures this issue.

Turn signal is constantly clicking without turn signals on. Sometimes fast sometimes slow, just on it's own it starts clicking

It's more than likely to be the multifunction switch , the contacts get dirty and cause the flasher to continue to click . The flasher and hazard switch are one unit behind the dash , that's why you hear the sound from there.

The next step would be cleaning your multifunction switch. Clicking it into place wears away at it, leaving metal shavings in the grease surrounding parts. When enough metal accumulates, it likes to short and constantly complete the circuit.

Good luck and keep me posted, this was a recall and the fix was to clean the grease used, and or replace the unit.

I constantly hear the blinker in the car but the lights will not come on inside or outside of the car.

The hazard/turn signal flasher is a small square relay located right above the integrated control unit on the interior fuse block behind the left kick panel. If the flasher unit is functioning properly, you can hear an audible clicking sound when it’s operating. If the turn signals fail on one side or the other and the flasher unit doesn’t make its characteristic clicking sound, look for a faulty turn signal bulb. If both signals fail to blink, the problem may be due to a blown fuse (in the engine compartment fuse box, far upper left as you are facing the auto), a faulty flasher unit, a broken switch or a loose or open connection. If a quick check of the fuse box indicates that the turn signal fuse has blown, and the same thing happens after you replace it, you should check the wiring for a short.
To replace the flasher, simply (may be easier said than done) pull it out of the fuse block.
Installation is the reverse of removal.
Hope this helps you.

Turn signals dont work at all

Try your hazard lights. If they work, then it's your turn signal flasher. With your hazards on, listen under the dash for the constant "clicking". Locate the flasher for your hazrads... the turn signal flasher should be near it. Once you find it, just pull it out and replace.

You can use your hazard flasher in place of your turn signal flasher, just swap the two. This will get you to the store to buy a replacement.
