About a month ago , the tv started turning off , on , off , on , then it would stay on for a while and repeat again. two weeks later it still has the same problem but now when it comes back on , the volume is all the way up but no sound . we have to turn it up than down, for it to reset . It has also asked for password (which ther is none set )and locked out the front panel ! Its a mess ! NOW , It wont even come on at all , we plug it in and it turns on & imediately off , 1 time (by its self) than it does nothing !

I have the same issue, we've had to change our bulb three times in less than two years. now we have 61" expensive paper weight. Our current bulb is less than 6 months old. The TV is only 2 years old and like i said this is our third bulb.
the blue light blinks 4 times. you get sound. then a few minutes the the picture returns... then it goes out, and the cycle goes on.
Somehow you have enabled the Closed Captioning mode. Work your way through the menus to turn it off and the problem will be resolved. The channels that come in normally are not transmitting the closed captioning information, thus no CC black box.
I don't if you are still online but I would like to let you know how to get you tv repaired.
You find a TV service center and tel them to fix it.
If they are not able to reair it, you take your work order and call 1-877-297-8391 and they will exchange your tv
