My kenmore he2 plus washer door gasket is loose.

I found a steel wire ring inside the washer and water on the floor. Where does the wire ring fit the front door gasket to hold it snug in place.the wire ring has a spring 2 inch section on it.

It goes on the groove in the gasket at the door , the side view of the gasket would be a V, it goes right in the middle. make sure the gasket is first snug on the metal frame groove. the spring is very tight, start at top then work down, use a flat screwdriver to pry it in at bottom. it may help to wet the gasket

1is there a plastic ball inside the Kenmore he2 plus front loader washer drain pump hose

I would not be so quick to judge it as a clog. Check valves often take the shape of a ball. In transmission and carburetors they are steel. Given that the he2 drum is lower then the drain connection in the wall it makes perfect sense for a check valve in the drain hose. If you can not see a way for it to get in there and it appears large enough to stop water form flowing back into the machine I am betting it is a check valve. Look carefully at how it might fit on the machine side of the line, if I am right, it should be able to block the hole. When water is moved toward the house drain, there should be no way for it to block the water. There is also a very good chance it is a solid ball. Look at it very carefully before deciding to remove it.

I also had problems with my Kenmore HE2 leaking water on the floor. I removed...

I CAME TO THE SITE WITH THE PROBLEM OF MY WASHER NOT DRAINING. I HAVE HAD PROBLEMS WITH THIS FOR MONTHS. TAKING THE HOSES OFF. CLEANING THEM ETC... TODAY I FOUND THE BEST SOLUTION.. THE WOMAN WHO POSTED THAT SHE SAVED HER HUSBAND $300.00 BY TAKING THE BOTTOM OFF WASHER WAS RIGHT.....

BOTTOM OF FRONT LOADER.. THERE ARE THREE SCREWS.. YOU NEED ONE OF THOSE NOT PHILLIPS BUT ROUND LOOKING SCREW DRIVERS(SORRY).. ANYWAY TAKE OFF THREE SCREW.. ONE ON LEFT, RIGHT AND MIDDLE.. THERE IS A WHITE DRAIN HOSE WITH A CAP.. VERY HEAVY PLASTIC FRONT. IT IS HARD TO TWIST OFF CAP BUT KEEP TRYING. ANYWAY IT IS GONNA GET REALLY WET.. SOME WATER CAME OUT AT FIRST BUT I WAS NOT CONVINCED.. SO UNDRNEATH I STARTED TO SQUEEZE THE HOSE AND OUT POPPED 3 SOCKS AND AN ERASER.. THEN ALL THE WATER THAT WAS IN THE WASHER THAT WOULDNT DRAIN.. EVERYTHING WAS SOAKED INCLUDING ME AND MY SON SO BE READY WITH LOTS OF TOWELS. BUT IT WORKED. IM HAPPY TO SAY IM DOING MY FIRST LOAD NOW AND EVERYTHING IS RUNNING BEAUTIFUL...

F21 code on kenmore he2 plus

Clean the filter in the pump behind the bottom panel, but remember it's full of water,If it's on a pedestal you can take the pump loose from the mounting pull it out a little and put a small pail or bucket under it before you open the trap.if it isn't on a pedestal it's a bit more challenging unless your in a basement with a floor drain. Open it very slowly and let the water drain a little at a time don't take it all the way out or you'll be in for a flood....good luck

A wire ring came off

Hi Bert,

That ring (it has a spring on it, right?) is used to clamp the outside of the rubber boot to the outside of the frame <--- where the door closes.

All you have to do is open the door and kneel down in front of the washer. Now, with clamp in hand, work it back into the groove around the outside lip of the boot. Here's the thing you have to know... That spring? It MUST be located at the 6 o'clock position! So when you are putting this thin back, just make sure the spring is located properly.

The reason? Frankly, I don't know. But the Kenmore/Whirlpool service repair manuals say so! So that's what I do, HA!

Anyway, If you don't replace that clamp and you continue running your washer that boot will dislodge from the front panel. Know what happens then? Call Noah, cause there's gonna be a flood.

Hope this helped you! If so, would you please be kind enough to rate me? Thanks!

Kenmore he2 wont fill with water

first off check your incoming water supply.. also make sure your not using stainless steel hoses manufactured withthe name "flood safe"" big issue with these hoses shutting off premature(they have a built in shut off check valvewithin the hose itself, .. replacethehoses if you have these. if not and you have good incoming water supply, soundslike yo may have a faulty inlet water valve.although usually onyl no hot or no cald the fact you haveno either water temp, thats odd
