Question about Acer Aspire 3100-1405 Notebook
My parrots took all but 12 keys off/ I bought a new keyboard but don't know how to get the old one off. any help would be great. thank you
On your laptop there should be two identical lugs apart from each other. Just gently prize them out all the way around the keyboard. You'll see a couple of screws securing the the keyboard loosen those and withdraw the old keybord. BE EXTRA careful when disengaging the connection to the laptop. A paper looking connection dont force it out gently ease it and replace it the same way. good luck .. hope you come back here and let me know how you got on most people get what they want and run!!! thats life

Just a note - this site helped a bunch. I was looking up how to remove my keyboard so I can clean it real well (I'm OCD that way). Thanks!
