Question about Konica Minolta Magicolor 2530 DL Laser Printer

1 Answer

Too dark How can I adjust the amount of saturation to the paper? I am printing using the Adobe InDesign and Acrobat Professional 7.0. I have tried going into the "printer features" and reducing the resolution to 600 x 600 but it's still too dark. I have also tried reducing the resolution from my main InDesign document, exporting to .pdf at it's lowest setting, and it's still too dark. Any suggestions?

I see where to change color density settings in thick paper. Can I do this for plain paper? (Normal printing is too dark.)

The only changes you can make are in the printer preferences menu, so if you have lightened it up there you have made the only adjustment allowed or provided for.

Compatability with windows 7

Adobe Acrobat 7.0 Professional is not compatible with Win 7
Adapted from Adobe FAQ

Acrobat 9.2 is the first version to support Windows 7. If you own Acrobat 7 or Acrobat 8, Adobe recommends you upgrade to Acrobat X through your Adobe reseller or the Adobe Store. Upgrading to Acrobat X will ensure compatibility with Windows 7 and access to the latest product enhancements. Enterprise customers with a Gold or Platinum support plan can contact Customer Support for upgrade tips and planning help.

Hope it helps.

Acrobat reader scales pages on printing, depending on the printer and its driver. By default, Acrobat Reader will use one of the scaling options.
Before printing the PDF document be sure that you select the right kind of paper size such as A4, Letter and B5 which will be printed. Paper size is defined in the Document Setup dialog box for the document.
To print the document without different margin problem:
- Open the Acrobat Reader’s Print dialog box (Choose File > Print).
- Choose “None” from the “Page Scaling” drop-down list. (It will not change until you change it again).
- Then click “OK” to print the document.
This may solve your problem.

The printer needs more RAM memory. Check into purchasing and installing more RAM. Printers use RAM to print graphics.

Cannot Create PDF from Word Document Using Adobe Professional 6.0

You can try to create PDF file directly from Microsoft Word. Adobe Acrobat Professional installs a virtual printer on your computer. Print the document from Microsoft Word, but make sure you select appropriate printer from the list. It should be called "Adobe Acrobat PDF Printer", or similar.

you need Adobe Acrobat Professional or Adobe Indesign in order to export or convert your documents to PDF format. There are several ways to do it, you can even use Adobe PDF printer and create PDF versions of anything you print.

Can't print from Indesign CS3 to Epson stylus photo 2100

It sounds like a buffer overun problem. Try reducing the resolution of your graphics. Have you contacted Adobe? You have one year free technical support with the software, I believe.
