Water not heating up

check the float switch on the rinse tank if this shows a open circuit and the tank is full this will stop the heating cycle. again as before all depends on the depending on the make.

check for thermal cut outs, there could be up to 3 located around depending on the make etc, all have different places, 1 normally under the base of the drum lining, 1 on a water pipe below the drum lining, maybe 1 inside the door skin,

also there could be a broken wire inside the door skin just above the hinge, the wires get hot, dry out and snap with wear and tear while opening the door,
