Blackberry Pearl in water

I got in the hot tub with my black berry pearl. i realized this, took it out, took it apart, dried it out, stuck it in rice. its been about a week since its been in rice. i made the mistake of turning it on before the rice and the screen flickered alot. i got scared and turned it off again. but now after the week in rice, the blackberry works 90%. the camera = gone forever, but the main screen is very very light. i need to tilt the phone forward to get all the colors to be visible. any way of fixing this?

The screen has been damaged internally. You also might have risked frying out the hardware with turning it on with the moisture still inside the phone. It also sounds like some of the moisture may still be stuck inside the phone which could cause the screen to have problems.

If you would like to try, you can take apart the phone to try and remove moisture that way. This guide http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NQxMmsrnwfU will help you out in doing so. Also understand by taking apart the phone it voids any warranty. Yet since you dropped the Pearl in the water, its already out of warranty since the little water sensitive strips (inside and outside) the phone have been turned red which destroys the warranty.

Your best option is to just get the phone replaced because a phone never works the same after water damage.

Hope this helps;

Black berry pearl 8100 wont connect to a ping

Specify the correct name in the BlackBerry Server Configuration panel and in BlackBerry Manager.
If the BlackBerry Enterprise Server is in a perimeter network, you might have to specify the Microsoft SQL Server name using the fully qualified domain name

My blackberry pearl fell in the sink while i was washing my hands.. i took it out immediatly but i guess that wasnt good enough cause now i press certain buttons and they do something diffrent then what...

You MUST let it dry out throughly before you try using it again. You run the risk of shorting something out permanently. Some say open it up and lay it on a cookie sheet at 200 degrees for an hour or so. Others say put it in a tub of rice to let the rice pull the moisture out. I found success by just taking everything out (battery, sim) and/or apart (covers, back) that I could and letting it dry out for a few days by my heater vent. Whatever you do, DON'T put it in the dryer or on top of the toaster as some have suggested. That will definitely damage it more, lol.

Black berry pearl

It might be a hardware issue now. Dropping the device might have caused physical damage. I recommend getting the device replaced by your insurance if you have it.
