I have a Haier Dehumidifier that is about a year old, I emtied the bucket and put the bucket back into place and hit the start button and nothing happen I unplugged the unit and error code E2 keeps comming on
Unplug from wall. Take the front cover off and disconnect the 2 wires that attach to the humidity control dial. Plug back in. If it works, the problem is the humidty control dial (mine just went bad). With it unhooked, it will run constantly, but will still turn off when the bucket is full. To turn off, simply unplug.
Hi, There are many reasons for a dehumidifier to not work or collect water. Here is a tip that I wrote to help people to figure out what is going wrong with their dehumidifier.
The Zenith ZD30 is made by LG as many other brands are also. There is a fuse located on the control board. That may have blown. I have also had 3 LG units come into my shop with bad control boards. If the fuse is ok. Measure the ohms at the power plug L1 to Neutral, with the unit unplugged. It should read around 430 ohms. The ones with bad boards read real high. Hope this helps.
Rasske's Renewed Appliances
This will need to be serviced. LG has a 5 year warranty on these models. They usually will tell you of a service center nearby which will service it free of charge since it is under warranty. If you do not live near a service center they may ship you a replacement and you send your old dehumidifier back to them. Make sure you have your reciept when you contact them so they can verify it is 1 year old.
