Re: hard drive transfer

Hi, Yes you can. The only requirement is that the 2nd/new/empty hard drive be similar in storage capacityif not bigger. If you are planning on swapping from old to new and use thereafter the new as the main "C" drive, you might want to try and simply clone the old. There are software available online for that purpose. One good example is a "Acronis True Image" paid version. A freeware version by Seagate is Seatools for Windows. Hope this be of some help/idea. Post back how things turned up or should you need further information. Good luck and kind regards.

How do you tranfer data onto Sandisk. I am trying

you are probably confuse by the Sandisk software. you can uninstall it, but i advice you don't. when you plug it, it will appear in windows explorer window 2 more devices: a removable device and a dvd/cd drive. copy your documents to the removable device.

if the drive is not working and it ask you if you want to format it be aware that you won't be able to use its software. if you have data on the device, make a quick format and after that use get data back (gdb4fat) software to recover it.
