Question about Magellan RoadMate 300 GPS Receiver
Help!! Bought a used rm300 and upon starting, the unit is not finding any maps. I have both of the CD's but am not sure how to re-install the maps. I think the previous owner reformatted the memory hence losing all of the preinstalled map data. Any suggestions?
It don't work

Hi - I have the same model GPS but I've been unable to locate a copy of the CDs and I'd love to get a copy of them - would that be possible? My email address is firstname.lastname@example.org.
As far as re-installing he maps, here's what I've found. I think this might help:
Locate the files that are loaded on the computer.Magellan Roadmate Manager example: C:\Program Files\Magellan\Magellan RoadMate Manager NA\Map\Basemaps
Copy all files. Make sure your Roadmate is connected and click on Example E:/Removable Disk and paste them with other files. It takes a few seconds to 1 minute to transfer the 25.5 mb file so don't unplug it until it is finished.
