My tablet is totally dead! I tried charging it twice now, both times for about 12 hours, both times at outlets that are functional. It is just two months old, so I can't see what could be wrong with it. Until two days ago, it worked fine, in every respect. The cable and charger look the same to me. Nothing broken or disconnected. Suggestions???

You could try doing a hard reset by holding down the power button and the volume down button at the same time for 20-30 seconds and then see if the device comes on.

Make sure you have it plugged in or that there is enough battery to power on the device before performing the hard reset.

Hope that helps!

I've been charging for hours, but it's hardly charged.

If twice the time provides twice the charge, then 1. turn the device off while charging, or 2. consider the charger as incorrect or broken.

A battery on its last legs can exhibit the same thing. This is due to letting the battery get too low before recharging, even on a new battery, or it is an old battery (500 recharges often cited)

It is ever so important to fully charge a new unit 5 times and use most of the power in between IMO. After that, only the 'totally exhausted' condition is the worry..

A samsung galaxy player 3.6 that wont turn on

The charger has a function that restores the battery operation parameters by discharging then charging the battery a number of times. Refer to charging instructions in the pack but I think the cycle is a 3 hourly one, time to charge from a full discharge. If the charger thinks the battery is dead then it will try to recover the battery using this process. You may have left the charger on long enough to charge then also discharge the battery.
Start again and charge for the time in the instructions ONLY, if you are not sure of the time try it for an hour, then without disconnecting the charger turn the unit on and take particular note of any screen messages, if any.
You should be able to continue as normal now, but still be aware of the time you are leaving the charger connected for, as it may take some time before it returns to normal operation and stops trying to recover what it thinks is a dead battery.

Battery charing very slow, can't open tablet - won't turn on when button is pushed

The battery on the Asus does take a very long time to charge (over 12 hours before you use it the first time, then 8 hours or more each time). It takes even longer if you charge it from the USB port in a computer rather than connect it to its dedicated charger, or if you use it while it's charging. If you've already charged it for 8-12 hours, try turning it on by pressing the power button *and holding it down* for a couple of seconds before releasing it. Then, when using the tablet, try keeping it hooked up to the charger when possible, or at least recharge it overnight.

You can check on battery charge by tapping "Settings" at the bottom of the Home screen, then tap "Battery" in the Device category. The % charge will be at the top of the screen. I enjoy my Asus tablet, and it's good for several hours at a time between charges, but you do have to keep it charged up. Good luck!

Charging battery on Tablet which is totally dead

Depends on how long it sat for with no charge. LION batteries dont recharge from totally being dead if they are left discharged for long periods of time.

Kindle does not charge properly

Let's try to reset the charger system.
Step 1: Unplug from the charger, press and hold the Power button for 30 seconds
Step 2: Plug into the charger. Press and hold the power button for 30 seconds
Step 3: Let charge for 12 hours
Step 4: Unplug form the Charger, run the Kindle until totally dead.
Step 5: When DEAD. Press and hold the power button for 60 seconds.
Step 6: Plug into the charger, let charge normally
If this does not reset the charging system you have either a faulty Kindle or a faulty charger, contact Amazon for replacement.
