Audiovox D1812 Portable DVD player won't recognize disc

Having exact same issues as everyone else! Have only turned this on maybe twice ever to use.

My DVD is 8 months old. Has always worked fine but now when I put a disc in it says "loading" and then stops and then says "no disc." HELP!!

When I put in a dvd it says loading and then says no dvd found.I have it less than 2 yrs and am not Ii heavy user

have had this for about 2 years and i admit i have used it a lot but for a while now it doesnt recognize the dvds that i put in. it isnt just the dvd either because i have played the same ones in it before. When i put the dvd in it just says loading and never plays the dvd. so now it is just a peice of ****!

My AudioVox D1812 does not play DVD,s, says no disc.

I also have an Audiovox D1812 bought at Sam's Club in 2005, used only on road trips. It has recently just started to not detect a DVD (known good one) I checked the unit for visible dust, blew out with canned air the lens and drive mechanism, both of which were clean as the unit is stored in its carrying case.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I also have the same problem and this is a gently used dvd player.It was only three months old.The games work fine and it spins but always says loading.

I also have the D1812, It plays the games that are built into it, but will not recognize a DVD. I also bought it at Sams club. The disc spins and the head moves but not all the way. I have also cleaned it with everything that is permissible and still no luck. Reckon I should have bought the extended warranty. I only paid $89.00 for it and I sure as hell am not going to pay $80.00 plus shipping to get it fixed.
