Question about Samsung HPN5039 50 in. Plasma HDTV
My son was watching TV this morning and suddenly my son asks "hey what happened to the TV?" Noticed the power indicator light flashing green. Referred to the manual which says the "timer is on". Couldn't turn the TV off or on with the remote or power button. Unplugged it for over an hour and the power indicator light still continues to flash green and still can't turn the TV on. Any ideas on what may be causing this? When I contacted Samsung technical help they just referred me to have a service technician come out since the TV is out of warranty.
Similar problem with my Sony. Unplugging for 36 hours solved the problem for me

Tips for a great answer:

Power off the television. Wait a few minutes, then power it back on. If this does not correct the issue leave the power on, point your remote control towards the Sony television and hold the down arrow button. While holding the down arrow button press the "Power" button. Release the down arrow button and the Sony TV will reset itself to factory settings. Once the television performs a scan on itself your problem should be gone.
