Tension on sewing machine bernia 950 industrial can be ajusted for about 10 inc hes and then reverts to a mess of yarn beneath

Hi, well you must have been your moms favorite. I'm guessing the Bernina she left you was an Bernina 830 since I think this was the only electronic Record unless the 930 was also a Record electronic.

You will note that not all brands/models will work with this particular brand/model of cabinet.

SOURCE: Bernia machine tread tension will not adjust

Thread the machine with the presser foot up. This will open the tension control. Set the tension to around 4 and then lower the presser foot to see if this helps. If not, you need a certified Bernina repair person to take a look at the machine.
