Text color box in e-mail composing does noy have any color

If you have a Yahoo! account, you can change the appearance of your messages.
For example, you can change font color or size.

If the default font size for Yahoo! is too small or too large, there are two ways to change the font size.

You can change the font size while composing a message or you can change your settings and change the font size for all messages.

Click "New" to compose a message and click "Rich Text" beside the "Subject" line to show font options.

The appearance bar will open in your e-mail message; you can change font color and size here.
Highlight the text you want to change the font size.
Change Font Size in a Yahoo! Mail Message
Look to the font options toolbar above the e-mail message and click the arrow beside "12," the default font size.

A drop-down list will open with the available font sizes.
Select a different font size from the drop-down list.

The font size of the selected text will change.

Change Font Size Permanently in Yahoo! Mail


Sign in to your Yahoo! Mail account and click "Options" located at the top, right corner of the window.


Select "More Options" from the drop-down list. The Options page will open.

You can change your signature or message settings here. Select "General" from the list of options and look to the section marked "Plain text font."


Click the arrow beside "12," the default font size and select a different font size from the drop-down list.


Click "Save Changes" to save the new font size.

Open the Compose page
In the From box, keep the return address automatically filled in by att.net Mail, or select a return address from the pull-down list.
The Contacts tab (to the right of the Mail tab) connects you to your Yahoo! Contacts, where you can select a contact from the list on the left, then click the contact's email address on the right to open the Compose page, with the contact's address automatically displayed in the To box.

If the icons are visible in the tool box in your New Mail page, and the dropdown menu says Rich-Text Editor OFF, then Rich-Text Editor is already on. Click on the "Font Size" icon in the "New" or "Reply" box before you write your email. Choose from a tiny to a very large font . Change the appearance of the type by clicking on "Font Style." Choose from serif, sans serif or a "handwriting" style. Change the appearance of incoming messages by clicking on "Options" in the upper right hand corner. On the left side of the page, click "Mail." Click on "Mail Display Settings" to change the number of messages it shows and to adjust other options. Hope this helps.

The inability to send, reply, or forward emails could be from a program that was installed on your computer that is now preventing the Yahoo! Mail Rich Text toolbar from launching properly. Try switching from "Rich Text" compose mode to "Plain Text" as a work around:

1. Sign in to your Yahoo! Mail account.
2. Click the New button to start a new email.
3. To the far right of the "Subject" line click the "Plain Text link.
4. Compose and send your email.

To make "Plain Text" your default when replying or forwarding, do this:

1. Sign in to your Yahoo! Mail account.
2. Click "Options," then select "More Options" from the pull down arrow in the upper right corner of your Mail page.
3. Select "General" from the list of options on the left side of the page.
4. Check the box next to; When replying & forwarding Mark original message with > (plain text only).
5. Click the "Save Changes" button in the upper left corner.

It is not called "compose" anymore on yahoo. Next to "check mail" you will see a drop down menu called "new". Click it and select "Email Message".

This will do the same task as the old compose button.

I assume you mean change font colors in the body of your messages you compose.

IOpen a new message by clicking on "create mail" in outlook express.In the tool bar just above the white ares you type the message, left click once on the underlined "A" a selection of colors will drop down. Select the color you wnat and it will change the font color.

Open yahoo>go to the top right side of yahoo mail>click on options>select mail options and then go to the left side and select Signature.
