Question about Casio FX1.0 Plus Calculator

Re: Error 30

Hello,à

Here is what the manual for the FX1.0Plus says. You acn reset the RAM. Since this will erase anything you may have entered and saved, what you decide to do is of course up to you.

Hope it helps.

Exactly what were you trying to do? It helps to understand the problem
you are having. Usually it means that the result exceeds the capacity of
the memory (Too big). The upper limit for the calculator is 9.9999999..
*10^(99) or 10^100.

There's a manual free to download at the manufacturer's website that has more information and tips for getting the most out of your calculator.

Hi there,

My name is adieh. Hav a great day.

Here are the tips on how to calculate standard deviation using a graphic calculator:

1. Turn on your graphing calculator, go to the stats/editor screen and enter your data set into list1. Once this is done, return to your home page by hitting the home button.

2. Push the catalog button and scroll through the applications until you find "stdDev(". Place the arrow next to it and press enter.

3.Type the word "list1" into the open parenthesis. After you have put that in, close the parenthesis so you calculator doesn't show an error message.

4. Press the enter button. The calculator has done the calculations and you now have the standard deviation of your data set.

Note:

Using 1-var stats in the stats/editor screen will also give you the standard deviation. Using that function will also give you other information associated with your data set.

Hope it helps.

Thank you for using fixya.

You'll get the same error if you try to divide two matrices with real numbers. The TI-89 doesn't allow you to divide a matrix by another. However, you can multiply a matrix by the reciprocal of the other.

For example, to calculate A/B, calculate instead A*B^-1 . Makes sure you use the (-) key just to the right of the decimal point key to put in the negative sign before the "1".

You are not actually in "stat" mode yet.

Do this:

2nd

Stat

Pick 1 variable or 2 variable or clear data with arrow cursor

ENTER (now you are in stat mode and will see stat on the display

Data (to enter variables)

Good luck

Hello,

Here is what the TI Knowledge Base has to say about resolving the problem you have.Hope it helps.

**How do I resolve the error "Access Denied" when transferring an App or OS using the TI Connect software?
**

The error "Access Denied" indicates that the TI-Connect software could not complete the current transfer due to an unforeseen error. Please try the following troubleshooting steps if the error persists.

**Perform a manual "Garbage Collect" on the calculator (TI-83 Plus and TI-84 Plus family only):**

• Press [2nd] [0] [TAN] [ENTER] [ENTER] [2].

NOTE: A manual "Garbage Collect" can take up to 5 minutes to complete.

• Attempt to transfer data to the calculator.

**Uninstall and reinstall the TI-Connect software:**

• Go to Start >> Settings >> Control Panel or Start >> Control Panel and select "Add or Remove Programs".

• Locate the TI-Connect software in the list and then choose "Remove".

• Once the software uninstall process has completed, please shut down and power off the computer.

• Wait approximately 20-30 seconds and then reboot into Windows.

• Download and install the latest version of the TI Connect software from the TI Connect Software home page.

• Once the TI Connect software install process has completed, restart the computer before using TI-Connect.

Quoting from page B-7 of the Guidebook:

-----

You are attempting a stat calculation with lists that are not appropriate; for example, you are requesting a statistical analysis with fewer than two statistical data points. The frequency (y value) for a 1-VAR analysis must be an integer >= 0.

------

If you simply want 1-variable statistics for two sets of data, you'll have to calculate them separately.

This error show up when you are graphing out of the plot menu. If you are not graphing data points from list menu, you need to turn the plots off. In the y= screen, you will see the words plot 1, plot 2, etc across the top of the screen. If one of the plots is highlighted (black box over the words), you need to turn it off. This can be done by arrowing up and highlighting the box and pressing enter. When you arrow back down, the plot should be off and you will be able to enter an equation in the y= lines and graph.

If you are graphing from the plot menu, this error lets you know that one of the lists you are graphing is longer than the other.

Another way to fix the problem is to reset the calculator by pressing 2nd button then plus sign then 7 then 1 then 2. This will reset the calculator however if you are graphing from lists, your data will be erased. Hope this helps.
