I accidently attempted to install the black ink cartridge into the color stall and can't remove it to date. Any solutions that won't make the problem worst would be appreciated.
Mmmm, mmmm, mmm. You got yourself a real problem. You have a wide cart. in a narrow span. What is happening is the ledge of the cart. is being caught on the side and then when you pull, it catches on the bottom. The ONLY way I have been able to get those out when lodged is with preying. use a small thin, flat edge screwdriver to prey the side, if you get it that far you maybe able to force the up motion. To hard and your cradle will break. It can be done, but with difficulty.
Simply open the cover if your catrudge is in center try to ull it out by just pressing thd catdirdge towards downsde. if your catridge is not in center just switch it on and see it will generate sound and when the catrdige come to center just remove the power cable of printer and try to remove the catridge
bye.

Hi there!
Here's what you can do to change the Printer cartridges.
1. Make sure that the printer is turned on. Turn it on if it's not.
2. Open the printer cover, then wait until the carriage is idle.
3. You will see the Tri-color & the Black cartridge. The tri color cartridge is the green one which is on the left and the Black is the one on the right.
4. Press down the Cartridge you want to replace you will notice that it will be released from the cartridge holder. Once it's loose slide the cartridge out.
5. Make sure that the correct Genuine Hp Cartridge is what you have. For your printer HP PSC 1610, HP 94 will be for the black and HP 95 is for the tri color.
6. Open the cartridge package. Remove the protective tape. Make sure that you do not touck the copper colored contact and nozzles.
7. Hold the print cartridge with the sticker facing up and the copper colored contacts facing the printer and slide it into the cartridge.
8. Use your thumb to push the cartridge all the way in. You may need a little force to make sure that the cartridge has been installed securely.
9. Once installed close the cartridge cover. Make a copy to test.
Hope this helps!
Try this procedure: 1. Open printer lid so cartridges move to center of carriage.
2. Lift clamp and remove black or color cartridge from the holder.
3. Place cartridge on table with copper contact strip facing you.
4. Carefully place a strip of clear plastic tape over the four contacts on the upper left corner of the cartridge.
5. Reinstall cartridge in printer and close lid. Wait until cartridge returns to parking position.
6. Open lid and remove cartridge again. Remove tape from left side and
place tape over four contacts at upper right corner of cartridge.
7. Reinstall cartridge in printer and close lid. Wait until cartridge returns to parking position again.
8. Open lid again, remove cartridge, remove tape.
9. Reinstall cartridge and close lid.
Printer will now recalibrate. Once the process is complete the ink level meter should be reading full again.
I hope this helps, if so please rate our solution.
Hi, the answer is no you cannot, the printer will only work if both cartridges (black and color) are installed, if you install just one the check print cartridge light will flash.
Is it a new genuine cart? If so, I have had this problem. Run multiple copies of black only text, Run 50 copies, will still spit out blank pages. Then head clean. If no black repeat. I did this for around 200-250 copies then Volia! black. Hope this helps
ok the problem is very common.initially remove both the cartridges.then unplug the printer from main outlet and plug back in.this will reset the printer circuit.then after u on the printer bring back the cartridge carriage to cartridge installation position.then first clean the circuit in the carriage that touches and sense your cartridge circuit with a damp cloth.both colour and black carriage circuit.then clean the cartridge circuit too even if its new.then install both the cartridges and close the door and off the printer again and on it after 30 seconds atleast.then check it should work normally.
have the printer preferences been changed accidentally to print in greyscale? Is the cartridge installed correctly? Now and again if the cartridges are opened and not installed straight away the ink dries up in the nossel and clogs the printer head, easily rectified with some cleaning solution. Cartridges also go out of date. hope this helped
The following error message appears on the color graphics display after you insert a cartridge: Remove and Check Print Cartridges . The printer will not print. The message does not specify which cartridge has caused the error.
Solution
This error message indicates that the printer cannot determine which cartridge is causing the error. Follow the steps below to solve the problem.
Remove the color cartridge from the left stall (which has a blue latch) and refasten the latch. Leave the other cartridge in place.
Close the printer, wait 10 to 15 seconds, then look at the LCD display.
If the LCD display reads Insert Color Cartridge in Left Stall , the color cartridge may be causing the problem. Follow the steps below:
Clean the color cartridge contacts.
Reinsert the color cartridge into the carriage and close the blue latch.
Close the printer and wait 10 to 15 seconds.
If the LCD display reads Remove and Check Print Cartridges , replace the color cartridge.
OR
If the LCD display reads Remove and Check Print Cartridges , follow the steps below:
Reinsert the color cartridge.
Remove the black or photo cartridge, depending on which one is installed in the right stall. The right stall has the gray latch. Be sure to refasten the latch on the empty stall.
Clean the black or photo cartridge contacts.
Reinsert the black or photo cartridge.
Close the printer and wait 10 to 15 seconds.
If the LCD display reads Remove and Check Print Cartridges , replace the black or photo cartridge.
Remove and then reinsert the cartridge indicated in the error message.
If the error is still displayed, clean the contacts.
If the error message is Error. Remove and Check Black or Photo Cartridge , the following steps may help:
Remove both cartridges, lower the latches, and close the printer access door.
Turn off the unit by pressing the On button on the front panel. Wait for the printer to completely shut down.
Turn the printer back on by pressing the On button.
When the message display reads Insert Print Cartridges , open the access door and replace the cartridges.
If neither of the steps above fixed the problem, either the cartridge or the printer is faulty
The only solution I found is to replace the cartridge - I did it and it works fine now.
B4 this, I cleaned the cartridge connectors according to HP instructions, but the error message kept coming back, but once in a while, I could print!?! It's possible, since these cartridges need super-special care when handling, that either dust somehow disrupted recognition of cartridge or maybe during the initial install of the cartridge I accidently touched somewhere I shouldn't have!...
