Problem for Zanussi 24 in. DE6544 Built-in Dishwasher
Cycle starts but water doesn't fill past heating elements.

The machine starts the cycle by draining any water then tries to fill for the heating stage. A sensor must trip before the right water level is reached because the heating elements start to heat in clear air, melting the plastic cutlery tray! Is this a faulty sensor? Everything else seems to be fine - plumbing etc.

- Thanks. Just moved in to a new house with no manual. The old owners conveniently didn't say whether the machine was working! (Should have checked myself!) Is this a fix I can do myself? Could the float switch be just dirty? Any idea where it is in this model?Best Solution

I think that the problem is the water inlet valve if the machine is not filling at all.
If the machine is not filling to the correct level, it may be the float switch.
