Hi I just got my EdgeStar Deluxe MINI Kegerator. I set the temp to 38 degrees for 24 hours + and all I get is foam. What am I doing wrong? I've switched back and forth from the manual tap and the

the difference between foam and beer is known as 'change of state', also applies to refrigeration equipment, and is caused when pressures drop too radically. While temperature is a factor, you need to consider your pressurization method and settings more. What are you using to re-pressurize your keg as you dispense brew? CO2? Nitrogen? mix? assuming you dispense from the bottom of the keg (feed tube reaching down near the bottom) lowering the pressure should help reduce the amount of foam when pouring. The thing is, even if you pour a glass full of foam, it will settle over time into beer, and you can add to it until eventually you have a smiling glass of amber joy sparkling at you. Go check some of the articles at ambersuds.com.

Do you carry the thermostat for vinotemp wine cellar TC32G?

You can purchase replacement parts for virtually all Vinotemp coolers directly from Vinotemp. Some parts are listed/available on Vinotemp.com (http://www.vinotemp.com/Browse.aspx/446/Replacement-Parts) But otherwise, just give their service department a call or shoot them an email and you can confirm the part number and purchase the required part.

Our 18 bottle vinotemp cooler quit cooling, the electrical is ok

Sounds like the cooling unit, i.e. heat sink and controller chip. $35 + $10 shipping from vinotemp, and you install yourself. I'm looking at the same thing (on the 28TEDS), though mine came after having to replace (for $45 and my own installation, incl. soldering) the circuit board. I hope yours doesn't go, too. I've read of others. Pretty poor quality parts they appear to use. I'm trying to find somewhere to buy the controller chip on its own, as the heat sink is simply a hunk of metal. Hopefully that's do-able, as it is with computer cpu's.

Burning smell and dead mini-fridge/kegerator

If the compressor is being used for extended times without resting or getting the product cooled, could be the problem. On small refrigerators the inside is sized for the work load. The condenser coil on back or in some cases under the outside skin of the refrigerator is designed to cool the area inside by releasing the heat from inside.. You may need to modify your cooler to handle such loads with more cooling capacity and condenser with fan to help bring the product temps down more efficiently. Let me know, Thanks, Sea Breeze
