Re: problems with machine resetting itself

This sounds like it could be a pump problem as you said the machine works fine till it starts to drain the water out, check the pump for open circuit electrically, if that is fine then check for blockages from the drum to pump pipe and any filters it has, also check the waste outlet pipes etc start from there and see how you go, if i have helped please rate me

The load starts out with 1 hr 3 min on the timer, but during the process the timer may go from 35 min to 40 min, then when it gets down to 29 min it goes back to 34 min and so on and by the time its done...

not sure but sounds like a mother board is playing up, try turning it off at the wall over night just to see if it will reset itself.
if not you will need to keep asking.

My machine won't drain. The hose isn't clogged, the belt is fine and the lid makes the clicking noise. I have to reset the dial to spin then the water goes out--why??

you probably have a bad timer? in order to check the timer you would have to be able to do some electronical tests to the timer itself if your not able to do these you might want to call a technician
please right me back if you have any further questions and also remember to rank how this opinion has helped in your appliance situation

thanks again

I start the wash cycle timer reads 1:02 machine runs and timer counts down to 54 mins. then resets to 1:12 mins. which inturn adds approx. 18-20 mins to wash cycle why the reset??

I had a similar problem with ours and had a repair guy come out and look at it. He suggested running a couple of heavy bleach cycles through the machine. He said that sometimes if you use too much detergent (especially if you're not using the "High Efficiency" type of detergent) detergent builds up on a sensor in the machine and causes longer than necessary wash cycles. We actually ran 2 cycles of bleach and then a couple more with no bleach or detergent and the problem cleared up.

Washer won't wash

When the cycle doesn't advance, it's probably the timer or a cold-water supply problem:
It's the timer, if your washing machine fills with water and begins agitating, but the timer never advances--or if the washer is in a spin cycle and the timer won't advance. Then you need to replace the timer.
It may be a cold-water supply problem, if the washing machine fills with water, agitates, drains, and spins, but then doesn't fill with rinse water. See There's no cold water.

WCVH6800J GE Front loader timer keeps resetting

The clock timer might be faulty.Need to Replace it.Since the machine is new, it must be under warranty and can be subjected to replacement.Problems with clock timers is common with any washer. Its better when detected early like in this case.Good luck. Please do post your comments.

Long wash times

I've had this problem, particularly with towels - it's quite annoying & not energy or water efficient at all. According to the manual, the unit has a sensor that senses if there is too much soap & it will continue to wash until the soap is removed. I found that this happened frequently on the "cotton" cycles & max spin. I've tried to make sure I use less soap, but I also use the perm-a-press cycle & the spin 1 down from max. Hope this helps
