This happened to me too! I found a very helpful thread online http://www.anythingbutipod.com/forum/showthread.php?t=38949
If the advice I'm about to give doesn't work, visit that link. I am running Windows Vista. I went to Control Panel>System and Maintainence>Device Manager>View hardware and devices>Portable Devices. When I did this I saw Creative Zen Mosaic listen with an !. I right clicked, uninstalled, and unplugged my Mosaic. I then plugged it back in and my computer automatically started in re-install. You may have to do it manually by clicking on a baloon that pops up when new device is inserted or something of that nature but this is what worked for me.
Hi! I think you should try this (i've already tried it and it works): 1- Unplug your Zen from your Computer. 2-Turn off your Zen (if you can't do it, press the "Reboot" button) 3- BEFORE turning on your Zen, press your "Play" button and hold it while you turn on. 4-When a format menu appears, select the "Format All" option (you'll loose all your Zen data). 5-When the format menu reapears, select the "Reboot" option and listo! You have your Zen as new and should not have problem. Good luck!
Hi So I had that same issue but then i found the solution while playing with it. if you connect your zen to the computer, open up my computer and find the zen icon. click on it and go until you find the "my recordings" folder. click the folder and you should see all your recordings. right click the one you want to copy and click "copy". then open a folder in your computer and click "paste" and it works!
The battery is bad or the charging circuit is flaking out. Try plugging it in and from the wall side of the charger, unplug and plug it in several times. Sometimes on the Zen players that will shock it back into charging. I have seen that same charging issue on several models of Creative players.
You can take it apart and unplug and replug in the battery. this will void any warranty. BE SURE YOU DONT LET THE SCREEN DISCONNECT FROM THE PLAYER. Mine did and i can't get it hooked up and have damaged it in the process. Darn thing works/charges/everyhting though. Just no screen...
