Re: paper not feeding through on right hand side

I had the exact same problem.  I disconnected the printer and then when I flipped it upside down, I heard something drop out of it.  Low and behold was my missing letter opener.   I then tested the printer to see if it works, and sure enough it feeds properly.  Try cheecking to see if any objects may have accidentally fallen into it.

HI we have a Canon Pixma 780 printer. We changed where the printer takes the paper from when printing to the back of the machine. We want to change it back to taking the paper internally as when you print...

First thing to check is that the paper guide at the back is set. I've seen so many printers (of all makes) where the guide is not set at all.
Put a stack 20 to 30 sheets in the rear paper tray. Make sure that the stack is snug up against the right hand side of the feed tray (as you look at it from the front).
Then, make sure that paper guide - the little light grey plastic sticky-up bit at the left hand side of the feed tray - is moved up snug to the stack of paper. It should touch the paper but not squeeze it. Now try printing.
That guide is what makes the paper stay straight. If it does not touch the paper then the paper will go out of line.
This applies to all makes of printer and all types of printer.

Each time I print on plain paper the paper feeds into the machine and when it hits pinch rollers after the print head, the top right hand corner is turned over. Two pages later and the third page is so...

Follow these steps to reload paper:

  1. Flip the feeder guard forward.

  2. Remove the paper and make sure it's not curled or wrinkled.

  3. Fan the stack of paper to make sure the sheets are separated.

  4. Reload the paper against the right edge of the sheet feeder andslide the left edge guide against the other side, but not too tightly.

  5. Don't load paper above the arrow mark on the left edge guide.

  6. Make sure the printable side of the paper is facing up.

  7. Flip the feeder guard back.

  8. Once you have completed the steps above, press the cp_button_6.gif Start button.

Paper jam..cartridge back and forth

This clearly indicates that problem is with the rollers in the paper feed clear the obstruction-fold a sheet of paper 3-4 times lenghtwise to make it thick..insert this into the paper feed tray, behind the rollers-move it left right a couple of times....repeat this a couple of times-if no tech support..printer would be replaced if in warranty...good luck

Paper not feeding on the left hand side of our lexmark 5100

open the backdoor and try to move the rollers in upward direction...if the roller on the left is hard to move then..replace the machine.
