I bought my stereo from wal-mart over the summer. It's only about 3 months old. I had it in my livingroom and moved it into my bedroom and when i plugged it back in i had no sound. The lights are in sync with the bass, but i am getting no sound out of the speakers. I have tried other speakers and still not getting anything. I have tried all the solutions.

Originally worked perfectly. Moved this unit into another room. Just by unplugging the light connector, that movement was enough to knock around a couple transistors in the head unit. I finally opened up the stereo and readjusted the transistors to stand up straight. Left the cover off and plugged it all in. Started working. The only thing is I can't crank in all the screws, so left the outside paneling a little loose until I can resolder it all. Sound may go in and out, so just tap it occasionally.

As for the solutions that dukic posted. There is no A/B button on the system. There is no mute button anywhere on the stereo itself or the remote. And there is not line for switched in for the speakers. Apparently it must be something internal on the board. Maybe some saudering came undone somewhere. If anybody has any idea that would be helpful i would greatly appreciate it!

Is the A/B speakers button pressed? Is the muting button pressed? Is the stereo switched to "Line In"?

Rear speakers don't work

Sir,
I do not want to insult you in any way, but I must ask just in case it was overlooked! First check to be sure that the speaker settings on the stereo were not set all the way to the front. If that is not the problem, you can hook another speaker you know works to the wireing to the rear speakers to check to see if it is the speaker or the wireing. If you hear sound from the speaker you know works, then your speakers in the car are bad. If you do not hear sound, then it will be from the wireing. Next is the more difficult part. You will have to pull the stereo out and can splice into the wires. Hook the good speakers up to the splice and check for sound. make sure you know for sure the wires you splice into are for the rear speakers. If you still hear no sound, then it is more then likely a problem in the stereo itself. If you do hear sound then there is a problem in the wireing somewhere and may be easier to just run new wires to the rear speakers.
