Re: Turns on lights up, warms up, then nothing

Look in the manual under "trouble shooting guide". Start there first. What do the self tests say? What error codes are you getting? Are all the door locks engaged? There can be a whole range of reasons from something simple to something very complex and expensive. You got it cheap? Maybe you discovered the reason why. It probably needs a component that costs a lot of money and the previous owner didn't want to spend the money on. The ink pack alone cost $250 to replace. Don't give up there are several websites that have the parts and supplies for this copier. But you may need to have a service repair man fix for you initially.

Infotec 5221dz when machine starts up it all

Check the sorter and exit part gears.Remove the sorter unit and make a copy.If the machine worked the problem is in the sorter unit,if not workwd the problem in the exit unit.If the sorter is defected you need to de-reassambly the unit, checked the mechanical components, sensors, motors and gears, and realignament the bin sections. For more information and suggestion please contact me.

Error code E522. How to fix this?

You have an issue with your staple finisher, probably need to inspect the stapler unit itself to make sure nothing is jammed in it and it moves freely. If you can't clear the error then most likely the unit is defective.

Hope this helps,

Minolta EP4320 - How to clear the "Cd" error code

A "CD" code means some thing is not closed correctly or attached correctly. It has been a very long time scine I worked on one, but I believe that when you added the duplex unit there is a bottom part of the duplex unit that is held on with two screws at the bottom and one shoulder screw at the top. From what I remember is that if the bottom part of the duplex unit is not flush withe copier stand and the top part of the duplex unit the joggers will not move and there is a sensor flag that get stuck in the bottom part of the duplex unit. Also, di you connect all of the connector for the unit that goes inside the copier it's self. You are dealing with a copier that is over 10 to 15 years old. Good Luck

A E532 code deals with the sorter. Are the bins moving at all, also try to unjam the stapler. Also have you tried to let the machine warm up with the sorter moved away from the copier? How about this have you tried to turn the copier OFF then disconnect the sorters plug from the back of the copier and turn it back ON with the sorter moved away from the copier. If it works you are all set. I believe your copier is a older model and for the 10 bin sorter that it comes with may not be worth repairing. If it is a 10 bin sorter, it was never a good design from Canon, they work or don't work.. Good Luck...

Toshiba 3550 Document Feeder

1- you've already established that the jamming is coming from the sorter, since you said they jam as they exit the copier into the sorter bin.
2- check to see if the sorter is aligned, is one side higher than the other? is it crooked? are the wheels of the sorter turning as the paper exits the copier, is it plugged into the copier? does it show "connect sorter" when detached from copier?
if not the sorter board may be bad.It may need to be aligned ( not easy if not used to doing.)
