Re: no display but sound

Did you check to make sure the TV - HDTV switch on the AV cord was in the right position?

When i switch on the sony psp,the power comes but nothing appears on the seems i have formatted the psp it self.

If sounds an be heard from it it 's probably a LCD problem. If there are no sound it is a board problem.

Display problems while playing Virtual Console games

If you are experiencing display issues (dim, blank or half-blank screen, ghosted image, etc.) with a Virtual Console game while using the Component Video Cable, please read the following:
Some Virtual Console games default to displaying 240 lines of video. Some HD TV's are unable to display a signal with only 240 lines. Try the steps below to set the Wii to output 480 lines of video, which may solve the problem:
  1. While on the Wii Channel Menu (main screen of the Wii), connect a Nunchuk to Wii Remote.
  2. Select the Virtual Console game from the Wii menu, then select "Start" to begin the game.
  3. When the game starts, press the Home button on the Wii Remote. (In many games, the music can be heard when the game starts.)
  4. Select "Operations Manual" from the Home menu.
  5. Press the Z + A + 2 Button simultaneously (the Z Button is on the Nunchuk). A sound will be heard if the button combination has been entered correctly.
  6. Close the Home menu. The game should now display correctly. Note: You will not have to do this the next time you play, as the Wii console will remember these settings.
If the Virtual Console game is still not displaying properly, but all other games work fine, please call 1-800-255-3700 so that we may assist you further.

I hooked the hd chord to the ps3 console and now i have no sound what might be the problem

  • Have your ps3 in standby mode (red light).
  • Now, press and hold the power button in the front down. Your ps3 will beep twice. Let it go almost exactly after you heard the second beep.
  • Wait 10-15 seconds. A display will show up, and just answer yes to all!

How do you change the output setting from hdmi to the rca cable setings? I have no picture screen on my crt tv.

you have to reset the ps3 because you have it with hdmi before and the ps3 is looking for an hdmi connection is very easy and there is nothing wrong with your ps3 ok so do the follow
turn the power switch off on the back of the unit then put your finger in the on/off switch now turn the main switch on the back of the unit you will heard a first bip sound this is when your ps3 turns on ok keep your finger there in the on/off switch until you heard another bip sound now remove your finger from the on/off switch and bingo this will reset your video settings now you can see picture again using regular av and every time you use hdmi you have to do this again

Xbox runs although no display; already checked connection and cab

Well if you dont have a warranty on the console, then open the console and check the graphics card. You cant miss it bc it looks like a big fan and usually says the makers' name on it. However if you currently hold a warranty on the console, it is highly recommended that you send the console along with any accessories that may cause problems back to Microsoft. Information can be found at their website at

Xbox 1, switches self off

sounds like a power supply problem try taking it apart .it will be the long slim board that the power cord plugs into.. make sure to unplug it from the wall first.look for burnt places on the board..if you find a problem ask around and find a broken xbox that comes on and displays an error message. that meens power supply is good and there is some other problem just replace your power supply with that one... good as new
